vista anti virus 2011 disable hlp

I need to disable it to get on the net to download avg to remove the mountains of viruses that's decided to invade my computer

Any help???

Anti-Virus 2011 is a fake program. It's quite easy to clean, but you need to download Malwarebytes using another computer, then copy it via a USB stick/CD to the infected computer & run a full scan. If it doesn't run, reboot into safe mode to run the scan.

If you can start up your computer normally, go to:

start --> run --> msconfig -->

find the program and uncheck it. restart the computer as instructed.

This may help as it will disable it from starting when the computer starts up. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. It generally did for me when I owned a PC... but of course, things change.
