I'm going to go crazy here! All three cats are being SUPER picky with food lately. I've wasted so much trying to get them to eat different stuff. I got some Felidae and Parker gobbled that up but Buddy and Sami didn't seem to like it. Buddy seems to have taken a shine to any type of chunky/gravy type food, but it makes Sami's stool runny. They will all pick at dry food but can't seem to agree on wet food. Sami and Buddy also do not seem to like the Wellness much either.
I had even tried FF and some other stuff in a pouch but the only nibbled a bit.
I'm running out of ideas here...and tired of wasting food, especially the expensive stuff. Anyone have any suggestions?

At the moment, all my cats like Natural Balance, Wellness (grain free), Soulistic pouches, and TOTW the best. They did go through a phase when they wouldn't eat TOTW. Some nights one or more eats little, but there doesn't seem to be a pattern. I feed them more brands than this, and dry food, too. If someone doesn't eat the canned food meal one night, I don't worry about it. UNLESS Claudio or Lily don't eat the canned food. They are my best eaters. Lily weighs the least of my 5, but she eats the most canned food next to Claudio. But he's the biggest and eats his own diet food with a taste of what the others get.

Buddy is usually the piggy of the group, eating his, then finishing anyones leftovers...but he is refusing to eat any canned food now. I've tried 5 brands now, both good and junky stuff. He goes through phases where he won't eat out of his regular dish too, so I tried a plate and he still won't touch it. Parker gobbled the Feliedae last night, but only ate half today. I just don't know what to do anymore.

Oh dear.
Sorry to hear about your picky eaters. -hugs-

Mackerel always took tuna when she rejected other stuff, and raw lamb pieces when she was feeling ill.

If you have food that some kitties will eat but that will make others a bit poorly, have you thought that maybe you could feed them separately?

for some (hopefully!) hungry hungry kitties!

I do feed them separately, however, Sami seems to be into going back to her dish several times to finish up, so that would leave Buddy and Parker locked in a room until she was done. What I did today, was take everything they didnt eat and put it in one dish, then let them all pick till it was gone. It was so much nicer when they all ate their own food with no problems.

Sometimes, with the best of intentions, we spoil our cats. We love them so much.

I'm in downtown Chicago right now in a restaurant (St. Patrick's Day and Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert). So my cats are not getting their canned meal tonight. This is a rare thing. But because I have to separate them all for at least 30 minutes for that, they had a dry meal instead when I left home, 35 miles away, 3+ hours ago.

When I get home, about midnight, I'll give them their normal bedtime meal of dry kibble. Tomorrow, when they get their canned meal again, they will think it (and me) are great.

Sometimes shaking up the routine a bit puts the spice back in life.
