Hello All,

We've been trying to feed our kitties chicken wings as the vet recommended for their teeth, but we're still having trouble with it.
Cooper loves it, and will get very defensive towards Io when we give it to them. We've tried separating them, feeding at different times and chopping it up into different sizes, but Io still doesn't like to eat chicken with bones in it - this is raw chicken I'm talking about.
Io does like to eat diced fresh chicken, and Cooper is less aggressive when we give it to them, which is strange but I guess because it's not one big chunk he can claim, he behaves a bit better.

I just can't seem to win with Io, so I was considering using cat toothpaste & a brush, but wanted to see what other people's experiences were with it, while I do my research.

So far recommendations for using a 'finger brush' like a glove with a rough patch, or just doing parts of the mouth at a time with a toothbrush etc.

I'm mainly wondering what a good type of toothpaste would be, bearing in mind I'm in Australia and a lot of products that are available in The States may not be here. More along the lines of what to look for/avoid...

We'll keep trying with chicken, but in the mean time, I'd appreciate your advice/experience.

Thanks
Dem

I've only used CET, a Canadian brand. It can only be purchased at vet offices that choose to stock it and online. Most online pet supply sites have it so find an Australian one. Otherwise there's Amazon. The kits come with a tube of toothpaste, a small tooth brush, and a finger brush. No need to settle on which you will use ahead of time without testing the cats first. I use the poultry flavor with mine.

There are a couple other decent brands, but CETs easier for me to find.
