Heartwarming story. But it makes me very sad that they had to separate them. I wonder if they'll get the chance to be reunited. I wish they would.

I saw that on the news. It makes me cry so much....the way he's protecting his buddy by putting his paw over him. I'm so glad they were rescued, and I'm hoping more pets and people end up on the news, having been rescued.

I wouldn't say "defending". He was clearly trying to get them to follow him to the hurt dog.

I'm glad that both were rescued and I hope that they get reunited because it looks like they are friends. Perhaps lived with the same family.
