Blue wilderness cat food (dry)

What is everyone opinion on it? I am looking for organic, chemical, corn and soy food, low carb food for my cats. I am currently using wellness but I've read reviews that some cat got urinary crystals from them.

If anyone else has other food to suggest, please let me know! thanks.

Cliffs Notes: I did the same research as you, and decided on Blue Wilderness.

I went with the duck variety, just because at the time Buttercup was having soft stools and I wanted to eliminate chicken, but they have chicken available too... I figure they get plenty of chicken in most wet food varieties anyway though and its the same price. They also have salmon available now which we know as a fatty fish is good in omega-3s, but I try not to feed too much fish as most that are in cat food are farm raised since its cheaper and instead of eating krill they eat other fish bits in their feed which can increase mercury and other levels.

Very happy with it overall, and although they seem to avoid the lifesource bits at first (apparently the regular kibble pieces taste better), they always clean the bowl and don't leave those behind. Think I have been using enough of it and long enough to attribute it to their shiny coats and consistent well formed pewps.

I'd love to feed their wet, but the cat varieties are overpriced at Petsmart IMO, and the dog one would work and is more reasonable but doesn't have taurine added to it.

I've never fed the dry Blue Wilderness, but I'm eliminating the canned from the rotation. It's the food my cats most often reject and leave in their dishes. I value their judgment.

I regularly used Wilderness dry and the cats did great on it. I switch only to add more variety.

My cats had problems eating wet food too at first. You just have to try different brand and texture. My cats will only eat chunks in gravy.

^ I think Robin means eliminating the canned Blue Wilderness food. I had heard too that it wasn't the tastiest wet food. *shrugs*

Same here. I read about how great Blue Wilderness is and I bought a couple of cans to try. My cat sniffed it, took a few bites and walked away.

As for the dry, he'll eat it, but not as voraciously as the other brands I've gotten him.
