Very beautiful meezers! I lost my precious Quincy last November (at the age of 12-1/2 years) to kidney failure, which he was diagnosed with almost a year ago. His loss has been extremely hard on me, he was the love of my life, my furry little soulmate, was so very close to him and can't imagine any other kitty "measuring up" --he suckled my earlobes, just as if I were his mom, put his paws around my neck and sometimes put a paw on my arm, just to be touching me. His "little brother" Quasar, age 9, has been totally lost without his buddy, and I can sense his depression, feel so bad for him. My son's cat, Blackie, age 3, is just a big bully (even though we love him) and likes nothing better than to pick on poor Quasar--Quasar doesn't try to defend himself (that was big brother's job) but hisses and hides. I have decided to get a new Siamese kitten, a little male chocolate point, which we will be picking up from the cattery April 23. I'm hoping that he can be a little companion for Quasar--not sure how he will fit in with the other two, but am hoping for the best!
