Just agreeing with Feralvr on holding off until you know Daisy's full medical profile.

And it's great to hear she's eating in there more comfortably!
Hopefully things will go smoothly tomorrow!

Well the great news is Daisy doesn't have any diseases! I was so happy at the vet I cried, my husbands eyes even got a little misty! She does have a hole in her one tooth. I had noticed she was eating delicately on the one side. So when she goes in to get spayed and micro-chipped he will clean and pull her tooth. I will have to give her more soft food until then, she will love that. My vet is very conservative and wants to wait 2 weeks until the shots kick in to operate on her. But that is okay! We have waited this long and we can start swapping her blanket and Winstons blanket he lays on the sofa.
I did have a little trouble getting her in the carrier, I think she can sense my stress. I ended up picking her up and shoving her in the carrier, but she didn't give me any trouble. She was also good at the vet, maybe because she was scared but she didn't even cry when she was out of the carrier. The vet said she looked pretty good for being outside.
We went to the nursery to get potting soil and ended up getting a 3 qt pot of cat nip. I broke off some stems and gave them to her and she is currently having fun eating it and rubbing it all over her.

Thanks everyone for sending all your good thoughts. Hubby and I are going out for supper and we will have a toast to Daisy on her good test results!

That is worth celebrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry about her tooth, but the "good" news here is that it can be done at the same time as the spay, so that'll save stress on all of you.

Aw, I'm just all smiles. Thanks for updating, I couldn't wait to get on to TCS today to see how it went! (I figured if you hadn't posted, it would have meant you got her in the carrier.

I finally got a picture of Daisy, she actually was still long enough. Every other picture I took was blurry because she was moving. I am not sure if I attached this correctly

So a bit of an update, we are having a hard time socializing Daisy with Winston. We were so worried Winston was going to freak out and Daisy is the problem. We slowly tried introducing them but I am not sure if we are doing something wrong.
Winston hisses big time at Daisy and she tries attacking him. He is twice her size but she is very bold. Not sure if its because she was use to defending herself outside. At first it was a little hissing but know she goes to attack and he runs from her. Winston is declawed and she is not, could that be the problem why he is now running from her? We were trying so hard not to get her declawed, I don't want to do that to her. So are we expecting too much and still try to gradually get them together? I have read a bunch of posts on here and not sure what we could try differently.

Another thing I forgot, I don't know if this would be a problem. Winston is 11 and really doesn't want to play much anymore and the vet thinks Daisy is around 2 and very much playful. At first it seems like she wanted to play with him. But he is growling and hissing a lot, the last time she went after him her ears went flat and Winston was sitting beside my husband on the sofa. So Daisy doesn't seem to be scared of anything at that point.

I am in the process of socializing a year old feral and introducing him to my indoor cat, Jake. Jake is almost 3 and used to being the only kitty and head of the household! We also have a large dog, Misty. Shadow (my feral) has been coming in the house off and on since January. He has stayed inside only one night, but often comes in for several hours each day. At first, I would put Jake and Misty away, but that soon became a hassle. Jake loves to go inside an old dog cage we have so that was my next step. They could sniff each and even get paws to each other. We also have a pet tent that we used to take Jake outside that works really well. It is about 6 feet long so Jake can move all around and feel safe. We have just started putting Jake on a harness and having true face to face meetings. There is no hissing or growling, but Jake does lunge and swat. What I have found to be really effective is a couple of products. We use the Feliway diffusers in a couple of rooms. I also have the spray. I also use a product called Feral Cat Rehabiltation and Safe Space for Dogs and Safe Space for Cats from Spirit Essences. They are similar to Rescue Remedy. http://www.spiritessence.com/?action...act=view&id=70

Lastly, I have been using Composure treats. I buy the large dog size and break the treat in half for Jake and Shadow and then Misty gets 2 whole treats. It is a dream. It takes about 15-45 minutes to work, but the calming effect on the animals is wonderful. I order mine from Amazon.

Good luck. I know it is frustrating at times.

It just takes a ton of PATIENCE!!! I know it is hard not to want them to become fast friends. Some come around very quickly and will adjust to the other pets quickly. But other's will take much longer for both sides to accept. Of course, there are times when certain personalities just won't mesh, no matter what. But you have to give it many months of them together before you can say for sure. Put Daisy back in her room and just try again over and over. Use play sessions and treats during their interaction periods. Then put Daisy away, and just keep doing that over and over. They will associate good and fun things when they are together then. Keep updating and letting us know, we care and want to help
. for Daisy and Winston to become friends !!!!!!!

I echo the advice of Feralvr. It can take some serious time. I'm so sorry Daisy's been so aggressive.
I'd try keeping her in her room, have a good long play session with her so she's somewhat tuckered out, THEN bring Winston in there, and have one of you play with Winston and one play with Daisy. Don't make the focus of the "meeting" be "meeting" each other or even interacting with each other.... but like Lauren says, just getting them to associate being near each other with "good" things. Have favorite treats for each at the ready, and just give it 10 - 15 minutes. And just praise the heck out of them for not doing anything but playing with you!

Positive reinforcement for "no negative" behavior, refocusing the attention to toys, getting them to associate "fun" and "treats" with being near each other.... and time.
