You Know You're A Cat Purr-son When....

You have a kitty scrapbook album and tons of kitty pix plastered all over your walls and displayed on the tables.

You'll eat Ramen Noodles when times are tough, but your cats still eat well. :

You keep buying them new toys to play with - even though they already have a boxful of toys sitting there that they rarely ever touch.

You open a can of tuna to make a sandwich, and make sure to open an extra one so the cats get some, too.

You rarely ever take a vacation, because you can't find anyone you trust enough to take care of the furkids while you're away. No sitter means no or or so you stay at


YOU know YOU'RE a cat purr-son when.....

When you call your cats(using the answering machine) to tell them that you are on your way home.

When you risk breaking your neck getting out of the recliner with out disturbing the cat. (foot part up)

When in the first 5 minutes of meeting someone cats are mentioned and mutual pictures come out. (I have a new customer on my rt. Her cat has the same name as mine and today she brought her out to meet me. Yesterday I showed her pics of mine) I have found a new favorite customer.

You know you're a cat person when...

You find shedded whiskers, say "Awwww" and tuck them away.

You hear the tell-tale sound of puking and instead of getting mad at the newest splat on the carpet, you scoop up the offender and cuddle him, asking if he is ok.

You contort you body under the covers so the CATS have enough room to sleep on the bed.

You talk about them constantly - and don't care that non- cat people roll their eyes.

You carry on conversations with your talkative Siamese mix.

You make sure there is food in the bird feeders so the CATS have something to watch.

Soooooo many more .....

You know you are a cat person when you include your kitty in your bedtime prayers.

... when you do a complete 180 on a person whom you despised after finding out he owns a couple of cats and takes pictures with them, too.

. . .you get a weird feeling when someone tells you they don't like cats.

. . .you spend most of your online time on TCS and researching cat breeds, health, food, etc.

. . .your cats have more possessions than you do.

. . .you get an Amazon gift card and the first and only things you get are things for your cats.

...everyone you know calls/emails you with cat related questions, but never just to "chat".

All of these are so true! Too funny!

You know you're a cat person when you go on a first date, and start telling your date about your cats - and he'd better like cats too - or he's history! And if he doesn't pass the kitty "sniff test", you know he's not for you.

...you ask for cat furniture for YOUR birthday.
...you ask your kitty to please skooch over so you can get in HER bed at the end of an exhausting day.
...you put up with the pins and needles of a leg/foot asleep because if you move it you might wake up the kitty.

You know your a cat person when you make room for your cats on your pillow at night and don't move at night because you don't want to disturb your kitties.

Also, You know your a cat person when you would rather stay home with your cats instead of going out. Or you don't want to take a vacation because you can't stand being away from them and if you do have to go away you have a five day limit max and even that is toooooo long.

I don't have mugs yet of Samurai & BlackJack, as these were made up before they joined the family. It's on the agenda for when I have a little extra money to spend.

I agree with many of these! Your bathroom is really cool, KittKatt. I like the clock and switchplate. You know your a cat purr-son when you don't care if your kitty scratches you, because your kitty did it! When you think your kitty's poops are cute... (I know it's weird )

You know you're a cat person when you call your spouse at work to tell them the latest cute thing the cats have done.

You know you're a cat person when you have to go to the bathroom really really bad but you don't get up because your cat has gotten comfy on your lap.

You know you're a cat person when you put your best shirt on the floor so your cat can snuggle up on it, and don't chase him off when he starts digging at it to make a "nest."

You know you're a cat person when you take all your plants off the plant stand so the cats can use it to look out the window.

You know you're a cat person when your spouse calls you at work that one of the cats has a problem you drop everything instantly and run out the door without telling anyone you're leaving (this actually happened when DH called and said "Swanie got out" when he had a repair guy in the house. I thought he meant out of the house and I was so panicked I just flew out the door. I was actually shaking as I was driving home. Turns out he just meant out of the bedroom where he DH had him so he didn't get outside, but DH couldn't find where Swanie had gone to hide. I was so relieved I actually cried.)

You know your a cat person when your floors are covered with cat toys, when you have more cat furniture than people furniture and the people furniture you do have is covered with cat beds and blankets
