I was just wondering if anyone else is like me and has "given" things that were theirs to their kitties just because they liked them so much.

For example, Zazzles knocked one of my little tupperware containers meant for yogurt off the counter one day while I was at work. She was playing with it all night when I came home. After washing it and setting it on the counter to dry, she knocked it down again to play with.

So I doodled a mouse face on it and it's one of her favourite toys now.

Also, she has a thing for my socks so I took one of a couple of my old mismatched socks, put some catnip in them, and twisted them into a ball for her to play with. Her and Lola love it to pieces.

They have lots of toys that I've bought for them but their favourites seem to be things of mine

Exactly! When I saw the title of the post I laughed, wondering - what possessions do I have that aren't theirs?

When we bought our first cat tree and brought it home, the cats were immediately all over it. We bought a 2nd one, and the same thing happened. Gary asked - how do they know it's for them?

Well, we moved into a house (from the RV), and obviously had to buy furniture. As things came in... yes, you know the story. The cats were all over them.

So the answer to Gary's question was... it ALL belongs to them!

I think that's about it in a nutshell.

I bought myself a nice warm fleece blanket around Christmastime, and "santa" gave Holland a new fleece too. They are both hers now. She has a 6th sense about when I'm ready to open my laptop because that's when she decides to go sit on it. She is constantly knocking things off my bathroom counter either into the sink or onto the floor. She steals cough drops out of my purse to play with. Oh, and sometimes she even lets me sleep on her bed...

Yes, anything new that comes into the house (that is cat safe) and my cats want it, I give it to them

Calvin and Hobbes' mantra: "You two belong to us and so by extension all your stuff (including your hair) belongs to us!"

Yeah, pretty much everything belongs to the cats truthfully...
They claim everything as soon as it comes through the front door.

It's the cats' house....we're just here to pay the mortgage. And open the cans. Everything in this house was put here solely for their entertainment and amusement. Including us.

That about sums it up. DH has often says our cats are so spoiled, they don't even know they're spoiled. They think every cat lives this way!

Between kids and cats i don't have a thing of my own! I can't even go to the bathroom with at least 1 cat and my 4 year old following me.

Haha, the same thing happens to me (without the 4 year old
), the cats will even jump into the bathtub.
My cats are surprisingly good and respect my things generally...they have their own toys and only like to steal pens/pencils, tissues, and of course the beds

Everything is their's for the taking
. Their favorite steal are those hair ties and those makeup applicators. Even my ear plugs are a fav!!

The other day while I was making my hubby's lunch, I set a plastic spoon on the counter near the lunch bag and went to the pantry for something. Came back and the spoon was gone
Now I know I am forgetting things lately, but I KNOW I put a spoon on the counter. Oh well, I went to the closet and got another plastic spoon and put it into the lunch bag. A while later, I heard a strange noise in the kitchen being pushed around the tile floor
, Perkins was carrying around that plastic spoon and knocking it around. When he saw me coming, he picked up the spoon and ran off with it!!!!!
A new toy and you can't have it, meowmy!!!!!
Nothing is off limits to my cats, it is all their's
