Anyone having trouble with Iam's can kitten food?

Luna and Midnight eat Iam's Proactive Health can kitten food. I opened the can, and it had a really strange smell to it, so I threw it away. I opened the second can, and it had the same strange smell to it. Just wondering if there was a recall on it? Or if anyone else noticed this?

Not sure, Iams seems to have problems lately. I know their beef one was recalled. The only one I'll use is the lamb and rice adult food.

No, I don't use Iams. You could call the company and ask about the odd smell or just bring those cans back to the store and get them replaced.

We threw all the cans out, don't have the reciept to get any refund. I'm not going to buy any more Iam's.

I saw your question and thought I would jump in here! I have 5 cats of my own, but I also happen to work for The Iams Company. We are not having any recalls on our canned food.

Go ahead and give us a call and we would be happy to document your experience with our canned food and replace the cans of food, even though you do not have a receipt! 1-800-525-4267 9am-6pm EST M-F.
