Weird sneezy sound

Hi, I was hoping someone knew what could be causing this. One of my cats has been making a weird sound like she wants to sneeze, but she never sneezes. It's through her nose, and it's a sound you might make if you were about to or suppressed a sneeze. She makes the sound repeatedly, several times fast in a row, and her body jerks somewhat when she does it.

She's a young cat (3 years) who seems otherwise healthy.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I'm afraid w/o seeing her do it, it's hard to know. It's possible she has some sort of allergy or is reacting to something.

Have you talked to your vet about it?

Is your weather changing? Could be seasonal allergies. If it continues, talk to your vet.

Thanks for the replies. I was just wondering if anyone was familiar with this. The weather is changing but it seems like that would cause her to actually sneeze, not just make this little sound.

Our cat was making sneezy sounds for a while and then we found out she had some tapeworm problem. The moment those things came out, sneezing-like sounds disappeared too.

She could have a cold, or be allergic to something in your house. You should call your vet.
