I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Horner's. I took my 6 yr old male cat Dusty to the vet last week for a routine dental cleaning and ear cleaning as well. He has always had typical allergy ear and is always had "funky gunky" ears. Blood work prior to anesthesia was perfect and dental was good other than he had 3 small teeth removed. He woke up from anesthesia though and his 3rd eyelids are almost completely covering his eyes. It has now been a week and there is absolutely no improvement. We are aggressively treating his ears for infections and we gave him a steroid shot to help with the inflammation but he has stopped eating, has lost well over a pound and I believe it is all due to the fact he can hardly see where he is. He also seems partially deaf now in his ears, which is a little disturbing. I am just very worried about him and wondering if this will go away and how long will it take. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Sorry that you and your kitty are dealing with this.
I would request a copy of your kitty's file, including the dental notes that would indicate all meds (including anesthetic) givin before/during and after the dental.....and seek out a Vet Opthalmologist (eye doc). If that's not available, a Vet Specialist. If that's not available, see if you can find a local clinic/hospital that's a 'cat-only' clinic (Vets there often know much more about cats than a multi-animal clinic does.
As for the lack of eating.....feed smelly canned food. Warm it up a little in the microwave (warmed canned food is smellier and more palatable to a cat). I've something found that when dealing with a cat that doesn't want to eat, I dab a little of the canned food on their mouth which prompts them to lick it off....then they're more inclined to eat. It's very important kitty gets food into him. And doesn't get dehydrated. You may have to consider syringe feeding? Try something that most inappetant cats seem to like, like Fancy Feast. Try Tuna juice drizzled over the food. Give treats.
I would, at the very least, get a copy of the file and be seeking a second opinion.
Perhaps kitty had a reaction to the anesthetic? (or dosage of same)......or Vet error? ...though I guess it's likely from the ear cleaning that was done (from what I've read that's a common cause of Horner's).
Here's an article that mentions eye drops that can be given to deal with the 3rd eyelid. Have eye drops been tried?

I would most definitely be seeking another vet's opinion ASAP! There may be more going on other than the eyes, the bloodwork shows he was fine before anesthesia however he is obviously not now. I've seen cats go downhill post surgery when they've had purrfect bloodwork beforehand.
