Which do you prefer?

I'm a Pepsi girl all the way.
Sometimes I'll switch to root beer or Sprite for a change.

ETA: I don't drink Pepsi all the time - just a can or so a day. Mainly I drink water now. When I have my meals, I'll drink a glass of V-8 and a glass of orange juice (sometimes Sunny D). I'll have English toffee cappuccino in the mornings (about 1/2 a cup) - sometimes tea. When I get really thirsty, I'll drink water or milk, as those two are the only drinks that seem to quench my thirst. But I still prefer Pepsi over anything else.

I voted "other."

While I will occasionally have a diet Pepsi, it's not high on my list of drinks that I enjoy. For one, the carbonation always gives me a stomachache -- even when I take small sips over a long period of time. I've also found that it's just not, in my opinion, thirst-quenching. Now, there are times where only a diet Pepsi will do. But, by and large, I steer clear.

My drinks of choice are water (with some lemon and lots of ice), iced tea (green tea with honey is my favorite), fruit juices, and milk. If I'm truly thirsty, only water or milk will do. For other times, I do enjoy fruit juices. But, I prefer them to be 100% juice. And, for meals, I usually go with iced tea of some sort.

I answered this, though, with cold drinks in mind. For hot drinks I enjoy coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. I really like making coffee at home since I can customize it any way I want. My coffee of choice is decaf with Stevia sweetener and hazelnut or french vanilla flavoring. I also love cappuccino and lattes -- especially mocha or caramel lattes. Yum! Teas I like to mix up quite a bit. I like all kinds of tea. Herbal, black, green, mint, fruit flavored, and loose leaf. I, however, never put milk or cream in my tea. Tea and honey is all I need! And, well, hot cocoa is a given. In fact, I think I may have some right now.

Man, this thread made me thirsty...

7up is #1 for me! Tastes the best and refreshing.

Coke over Pepsi

Wild Cherry Pepsi over Cherry Coke

For Root Beer....A & W is the best out of the major brands and Hank's for premium Root Beer! One of these days, I want to do a taste test of most all brands of mass produced premium root beer!

I voted "Other" because it really depends where I am. If I'm home I usually do Ginger Ale or watered down juice of some sort. If we are out I'll usually get either iced tea (as long as it's fresh brewed), root beer or sometimes Pepsi. I've found at times the "heaviness" of sodas like Pepsi and Coke actually settle my stomach. Plus sometimes it's just what I'm craving I guess. I'll go through little spurts where I like to drink one thing a lot; then I don't want it for quite a while.

I very seldom drink any kind of soft drink. I do want a diet coke or tea whenever I have a hamburger. I drink water with all my meals. I am addicted to coffee, but I try to only have two cups a day.

I've always been a Pepsi girl.

These days, though, I mostly drink diet Mt. Dew. Water, unsweetened and decaf iced tea, often with a slice or two of lemon. High-octane regular Pepsi is now a treat.

I voted for tea. It's pretty rare that we have any type of pop in our house. It's the only way I can be sure to stay away from it

Diet Coke here. I have a refrigerator magnet that reads: "Give me my Diet Coke in the morning and no one gets hurt".

My other beverage of choice is water. I do the occasional root beer or ginger ale.

When you said "pop" instead of soda I knew you had to be from "up north" because only northerners refer to soda as pop. I quit calling it pop when I moved to Texas because no one knew what it was I was referring to.
Here, they call it soda-pop - or ask you if you want a "coke" - no matter what kind of soft drink it is that you prefer. You have to specify what kind of "coke" it is that you want when someone asks you (i.e. Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Mt. Dew, etc.).

It's funny how different things are depending upon where you live. Here everyone calls a shopping basket/cart a "buggy". I had to start calling them buggies too after I moved here and started working at Wal-Mart because no one knew what I was referring to if I asked for their cart so I could load it up. One time there was a lady who thought I was asking for her (credit) card: she told me I didn't need her card because she was paying with a check.

No one here knows what a "bubbler" is, either. Anyone care to take a wild guess? (I'll bet you Northerners know!

A water/drinking fountain.

So far as "soda" and "pop" go, I call them "soft drinks", or specify the drink I mean such as "Diet Coke", "Gingerale" etc.

I knew you would know, Linda - considering you're a northerner, too.
