My Kittens Are Growing Up

If you remember we got Mr. Poe early in December and Domino came here 10 days later. Born to a feral colony my vet guesstimated September for Mr. Poe and October for Domino. So they were, respectively, about 3 months and 2 months old.

But now it's March. Haven't they grown! Mr. Poe is sleek, lithe, and has a long Oriental body type, long muzzle, big ears, long tail. You should see him sit up on his haunches to bat at one of the toys my husband made for them, or take a flying leap in the air to grab one as it is tossed over his head. He's very loving with us, timid with strangers.

Domino is the most self-assured little catling I've ever met. We had a houseful of company the other weekend and he was as confident with two 13-year old boys as he was with the adults. He loves to come under the covers for a morning snuggle. While he is very active, his eyes and nose are clear, he sometimes has a slight wheeze and an occasional sneeze. Vet says he'll likely grow out of it. That would be nice.

So here are some pictures of our adorable catlings. Mist, by the way, has decided her senior quarters are perfectly fine and this is where she'll live. When the boys were off being neutered I left the door to my study open all the time they were gone. Mist never left the room.
