Just wanted to share a few pics of Asher, the latest kitty to find me (on Ash Wednesday, hence the name). Seriously, that's how it happend. I don't go looking for cats. They find me. Asher is another tame kitty from the neighborhood where I do TNR, likely an abandoned pet. He's only about a year old and very, very sweet. He has a severe wound near the base of his tail. We were originally thinking it would need to amputated, but the vet feels a strong round of antibiotics should do the trick. Unfortunately, Asher tested positive for feline leukemia. Not the end of the world, but not the news we were hoping for either.

Look at that raccoon tail!!
Asher is so handsome, and looks to be at home already, despite the "stink eye" in the last picture.

Gorgeous boy - it's unfortunate he's FeLV+, but he's lucky you found him as in many places it's a death sentence.

This darling tabby would have been lost forever if he had not found you Eileen...
he is one very fortunate boy.

You are in good hands now Asher.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Oh look at that beautiful boy!
He knew who to find, didn't he?

I'm so sorry he's got leukemia, but so glad it isn't a death sentence for him.

At least now he'll have someone to give him the medical attention that he'll need. I think he found his way to you for a reason.

He sure is a handsome boy!
I love his markings. And his name, too!

WOW what an absolutely gorgeous boy!! Asher has HUGE paws too!!! He is so lucky to have you and so lucky to have a place to go that takes in FeLV kitties, as most times this is the end of the road for positive cats. So glad his tail is going to stay with him, that would have been a terrible surgery for him, PHEW.

My very first kitty, who I got when I was 9, looked like Asher. So to me, THAT'S what a kitty ought to look like!

Thanks for saving him, and all the others.
