Please Send Vibes For One Of My Strays!

I noticed that he hadn't come around yesterday to eat, so I went looking for him this morning. I finally found him in the neighbor's yard, and coaxed him to come back into our yard. But when he tried jumping the fence to get back into the yard, I noticed him having difficulty in doing so. When he managed to get over the fence and jump back down, I saw that he was limping. I tried petting him, but he ran off under the house. This isn't normal for him: he usually comes right up to me for lovin'. He's obviously in pain or possibly sick: I'm thinking he might have gotten into a fight with some other stray and got the worst end of it. I went out to look for him again and noticed he's now up in a tree: I don't know how he managed to get up there since he appears to be hurting. I want to be able to get to him so I can look him over and take him into the vet if necessary. Please send all the vibes you can spare that he'll come to me so I can do what needs to be done.

He still hasn't come around.

He didn't come again when I went out to feed them all their breakfast - and he almost always comes running up to me when I call them. I went looking all over for him but didn't find him in any of his usual places.

I'm really getting worried now. Please send more vibes that he'll come back....

Oh how distressing this is for you and for your outside kitty!!! I bet you are right, there might have been a fight, especially for him to climb that tree yesterday as he might have been trying to get away from another cat? I sure hope he comes back soon, and don't worry, I am sure you will see him soon for stray kitties quick return to you

That's what I was thinking, too. Although I can't figure out just how he got up there considering how much he was limping yesterday when I last saw him.

I've been out several time now today looking for him and still no sign of him. I even brought them a special treat thinking that might coax him out from under the house or wherever he is, but to no avail.

I'm really starting to worry about the fact that I don't think he's eaten anything for at least 2 days now. And I'm starting to think the worst. It's not normal for him to be missing for this long...

Please come back Furrarri!

Reality is starting to sink in, and I'm beginning to fear the worst. There is still no sign of my precious Furrarri.

I'm trying to stay positive hoping that he'll show up. There have been other times when some of my strays disappeared for weeks on end - sometimes even months - and they showed up again. But they weren't hurt when they disappeared, either.

I was really getting attached to Furrarri, and was even considering taking him in (like I need another cat ). What prevented me from doing so is mainly due to finances and not being able to really afford having another furkid. And I was also hesitant because of my concern for my FIP cats and worrying about infecting them with something if Furrarri is carrying anything.

I wish he would show up so I could at least take him into the vet - whether I ended up keeping him or not.

Please come back Furrarri so I can take care of you!

HE CAME BACK!!!!

I'm so happy!!

We had a heavy thunderstorm this morning, and I think it was enough to scare him out from wherever he was hiding to come back on to the porch were he feels safe. I wasn't able to touch him which I normally am, but I think he's still gun-shy from getting hurt and is just being cautious. But I was able to get close enough to see that he doesn't seem to have any abscesses from a possible fight with another cat, which is something I feared. He is still limping pretty badly however. I don't believe his leg is broken though because he can still walk on it. I think it's pretty badly sprained though. Hopefully, he'll let me get near enough to touch him soon enough so I can get a better look and get him into the vet. I gave him some extra canned food for his breakfast because I knew he'd be hungry - which he definitely was. He ate like a pig!

I'm so happy you came back, Furrarri!

Thanks so much for all your vibes, y'all! They worked!!

Well, I didn't see Furrarri this morning when I went to feed them their breakfast. But at least I know that he's still around. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to him soon so I can check him out better and get him to the vet.

Ain't it the truth! We worry about them about as much as we do our own furkids - maybe even more. At least we can keep an eye out for our own since they're in the house, but with strays, it's much more difficult to keep a watch out for them!

You got that right. It is a daily concern for me, just to try to get a visual of my guys outside. I do worry about their health and safety more because I can't see them close up or sometimes I don't see someone for a day or so. I am just glad Spring is finally here and temps are rising. I caught Yogi laying on the neighbor's (the abandoned house next door from me) deck sunbathing this morning. He looked so wonderfully relaxed!!!

I went out looking for Furrarri again to give him & the others a special treat, but I still didn't see him. However, my roommate told me he saw him this morning up in one of the trees again. That makes me feel better - not only because I know he's still around - but also because he can't be hurting too badly if he's able to climb trees. Maybe he's not as bad off as I had originally thought.

I know what you mean. When it got so cold a few weeks back, I was so worried about the poor strays out in that - in spite of my efforts to make them up warm places to hunker down in. But they all managed some how just fine.

That's exactly it. We can't keep an eye on them!

I do hope he's better off than you thought!

If Furrarri is out there climbing trees, he must be doing better for sure. Good sign I would say

Furrarri update:

I haven't seen him now since that day when I posted he had come back. I don't know what's going on, or why he hasn't shown up since then. I'm hoping it's nothing more serious than maybe he's out "on the prowl": it is mating season, after all. I don't think a hurt leg would stop a male cat from doing their thing.

I guess I'm gonna continue to worry about him till he's back to "normal" and I see him waiting on the porch for me every morning like he used to.

Furrarri!

Oh I sure hope he doesn't keep you worrying like this! He must be out enjoying his Spring fever. Will add Furrarri to my prayers tonight. Come home Furrarri, your meowmy is sad and worried .....

Furrarri came tonight to eat dinner!

He wasn't on the front porch where they normally eat, so I went to check for him on the back porch - and there he was waiting. He let me pet him again, too! But when I tried picking him up, he got spooked and got away from me. I'm thinking he's still leery from whatever happened to him, and is probably gonna be cautious for awhile. I guess I can't blame him for that. I noticed he's not limping as badly, either - thank the Lord!

I was able to take some pix of him. I'll post them tomorrow.
YES!!!!!!!!! Super news. How sweet he lets you pet him. If he is not limping now, then it was just a sprain. Probably from spring fever and tree climbing. Silly boy, Furrarri. glad he is home. Don't be surprised if he is gone during the day from home, I think with Spring here they are wandering off and watching birds and doing more hunting for rodents too. I have noticed Yogi and Dixie are not out at their usual times anymore either. I bet they come home at night though when we are already sleeping. I cannot pet my ferals. Yogi now lets me get about five feet away without running off though

Pix of Furrarri, as promised.

They're not very good because they were taken at night, and he wouldn't hold still (typical cat! ).
