This isn't a big deal, but I'm interested if anyone knows why my cat is doing this.
When I'm getting the cats food ready, washing bowls etc, the male cat likes to sit up on top of some furniture and watch me. Everytime I pass him by he bats me with his paw, with his claws in - it's kind of cute, like a pat on the bum. But lately he's been sneaking up behind me while I'm at the sink and nipping me hard on the leg. I let out a yell when he does this, but he's back up on his perch looking innocent and sweet, patting my bum again
I delay feeding him when he's bitten me, but I'm not sure he's smart enough to connect the behaviour. My female cat would never in a million years do this, is it a dominance thing? And what should my reaction be?
