Question of the Day: Tues. March 8, 2011

A little early, but I figured I'd get it out there while it was on my mind. I just won a couple ebay auctions thus leading to my question:

Do you ebay???
Or how about other online shopping?

Oh, I buy nearly everything online (everything except groceries, cat/dog food, and cat litter). Amazon is a favorite, eBay, drsfostersmith, jefferspet.

I'm an online shopper. Mostly just ebay and amazon, but occasionally if I can't find something on there or if I'm looking for a better price, I look around on a couple others.

Yes, I love ebay! I mostly buy things like hdmi cables or any kind of cable I need really- I can't believe those things are like 3 times the price at microcenter!!
Also I buy things like computer/laptop parts that I may need...

I've never bought clothes online, because I always have the habit of trying clothes on before I buy them.

I do buy from eBay but not as much as before. My last eBay purchase was a cat laser toy. Prior to that I bought curtains and clothing. My last online purchase (non-eBay) was the Shark Navigator Lift Away vacuum. Around 2001-2003 I bought a lot of fabrics from eBay.

I do lots of online shopping and love Ebay although it can be hit or miss with me as I have gotten ripped off on there a couple of times.

Actually I just bought a new laptop online yesterday!

We both ebay. We use PayPal and we have a credit card with a very low limit on it strictly for online shopping, so if anything happens, it won't be too bad. The card is completely paid off every month.

I buy things for the kitchen through ebay (I still love my Staub chicken roaster! ). DH buys some sports memorabilia from time to time. DH has also started to sell some of his overflowing stuff. And we've started to sell some of my aunt's things through ebay...so far, it's been working out well.

I also buy from Foster and Smith, Penny's, Amazon, Toscano, etc. I like to peruse some of the auction sites, too. We don't have a Sur la Table store close to us, so I shop online. I love Sur la Table.

I never really bought much online before. But several years ago, I had a bad case of sciatica and couldn't stand or walk for long periods of time. It was right around the holidays and I simply couldn't do a lot of shopping. I started shopping online and realized how easy it was. And the rest is history.

Since we both work, we usually have our items sent to my in-laws as they're always home during the day. My MIL will call me and I'll stop in to pick whatever it is up on my way home from work. That way, our purchases aren't sitting outside in full view all day long. (Sometimes our mailperson, who's a real sweetie, will put our packages on the basement steps at the side of house, where nobody can really see anything. Our regular UPS guy will do that, too.)

Not really, I still enjoy the thrill of going out shopping and seeing first hand what I am getting....

Some things I will buy on Amazon because the prices are usually better there.

I have used Ebay a couple times, and have not had good experiences with it. I don't use it anymore. I prefer to use Kijiji (online classified ads) and actually meet the person to buy/sell items.

Other than that, I don't really buy stuff online. I've bought a few books online and I bought my husband a t-shirt once, but thats pretty much it.

I got so much flack from my friend for not shopping online so I took the plunge and ordered a nice coat. It arrived, was beautiful, but didn't fit. It would cost me more to return it to exchange it than it is worth so I won't be shopping online any time soon. I'll go to a store, try the item on and not waste my money.

Yes I ebay . I just got a knitting book last week. It was $8 cheaper than buying here, that include the shipping and handling charges. When my youngest was smaller. I bought a lot of beautiful outfits from a lady in Florida. They were beautiful , inexpensive outfits I have never seen in stores.

I buy lots of stuff from Ebay. Everything is so much cheaper abroad even with high shipping costs. Clothes, cosmetics, random stuff like fabric dye, toys, cds, the list is endless.

I am an ebay junkie. I rarely buy anything expensive, and I've gotten some fabulous deals. Most of DH's Christmas and birthday gifts are from ebay, too.
I buy a lot of craft supplies on ebay and online, too. In fact, in a little while, I'm going to be some paint that I couldn't find here in town.

Our old computer has been hacked into so many times, that we only order from online companies if they allow phone orders.

Yes to both questions! I do online shop; I try to make sure it's a site that is compatiable with Paypal for security reasons unless it's not offered.
