my 4 and half year female tabby ( nazzy) start sneezing yesterday off and on, i have her for 4 years and i have never seen her sneeze. there is no discharge or runny nose, she acts normal, eats well and active as always. weather has changed here and we are having alot of tree pollen. when i take her outside to walk she is has been rolling in dry dirt the last couple of days! i wonder if that causes the problem. i know i have bad alergies myself around this time of the year.
any thoughts will be appreciated.

It could be allergies or a cold. If she keeps sneezing, you should take her to the vet, just incase.

I'm in North Texas and if you have anything like what we have had in the past few days, it's allergies! My girl has been sneezing off and on since Thursday. Thursday was the worst, though.

you are right, she has not sneezed today, i think when she rolled in the dirt outside all the pollen dust got into her nose! i don't know why they like to roll in the dirt?!! my white siamese does that too and he turns brown!!

Hi
if Nazzy keeps this up for another day or so you could start her on L-Lysine. I just ordered some from NOW online through Amazon. They make a powder and you can give 500 mg. (1/4 tsp) For a week or so then go to 250 mg. (1/8 tsp.) for another week. If it is just a mild cold, this will help Nazzy fight it off. It is very safe to use and I keep my cats on it from time to time. Just mix it in some wet food, there is no bad taste at all to it. You can also buy Lysine in the vitamin section at the grocery store, but I can never find it in capsule form and then you have to crush the pills up

Hey there,

It does sound like allergies - I'd check that out with your vet. Nazzy may need Clavamox if it's a cold that gets worse. If the eyes are watering, etc., there is OTC "Little Noses" and "Little Allergies" that are for babies, toddlers, young kids, but only if your vet directs you to give it to Nazzy.

It's always better safe than sorry.

If a simple cold, it can run it's course without anything, per my Vet.

Hopin' Nazzy feels better really soon!

Warmly,

Julie O' and da Pudsta's

Rolling in the dirt would certainly do it for me as well! LOL

Wishing Nazzy a Snazzy recovery!!
Yay!!! It rhymed!

(My families' humor isn't the greatest, but we get a kick out of ourselves, lol!)
