Most of the pictures I take of Holland make her look grumpy:



When in reality, she's mostly very sweet (and also not missing an ear):



I wish her awake pictures would be more like her asleep pictures...

Aww... you know, I was just talking to BF about how Dot always looks grumpy. She just has a grumpy looking face! We know she's not mad (i hope!), but that's just how she looks most of the time.

I'm not saying that Holland has a grumpy face, but even if she did, well, it's not her fault. I do know what you mean though, I have quite a few pics of Genever looking less than pleased with the world.. I think it's the blinking thing.

In any case, I still think Holland is a Miss Cutie Blinky Sweetie Grumpy Face!

I agree that it's the camera....cats get to where they know the flash is going to go off and I think it bothers them. Mollipop usually has slitted eyes in her pictures, too, and I think it's bc of the flash.

That being said, looking a little grumpy does not take away the fact that Holland looks like a real sweetie! A very pretty two-eared sweetie!

Awww... Smudge, you are TOO cute! I would say you're BEE-utiful, but I don't want to offend you in case you are a masculine kitty...

Thanks everyone!

I still chuckle when I look at that first picture where she is laying on her ear... not that I would ever have anything against a kitty who WAS missing an ear, of course!

Holland really doesn't have a grumpy face... she actually has an inquisitive/impatient face, as in when she looks (stares) at me I usually have to ask her "What are you thinking about" or "What is it you need?"...

I don't think she looks grumpy. She is very pretty. But, I know what you mean. Most of Bijou's pictures make him look stern and grumpy when in fact he is amazingly docile and loving.

Keep those pictures coming.

I'm looking at that first picture wondering if it's supposed to be the grumpy one for the "comparison?" She doesn't look grumpy to me! She does look like she's missing an ear though.

IF she does often look grumpy in her photos, I'm with Erica on this - "I still think Holland is a Miss Cutie Blinky Sweetie Grumpy Face!"

I always thought Callie looked grumpy in her pics, but I wonder if it's because she had a black (tortie) face??

I think Holland is so cute! Her fur is so shiny and she looks like she's saying, "Mooommmmmm!! No pics!" What a precious girl!

Hi everyone here at this nice site... this is Holland, I've taken over my mommy's computer for a bit. You are all so kind to say how pretty I am. I mean, I know that I'm pretty, but it's still nice to hear people say it. It would be great if you all could tell my mommy that I get SO sick of having that camera in my face all the time. It seems like she's always there with that thing, when all I want to do is eat, groom and sleep. Just when I get relaxed, FLASH - right in my eyes. It's so annoying. The only reason I manage to put up with it is because mommy feeds me and pets me and plays with me and kisses me and tells me what I already know - that I am the most beautiful girl in the world. Like I don't know.

But Holland, if Mommy didn't take all of those pictures of you, how could we admire your beauty? Mommy is just performing a public service, and it's your duty as a beautiful cat to allow her to flash that annoying light in your face!
