If I get sick, I always wind up with a head cold or ear infection. I've never been sick like this in my whole life.

My mother got sick first, then the next day I got it. Throwing up about every 2 hours, even though I haven't eaten anything. Freezing. Dizzy. My whole body hurts. My back and ribs hurt so much from throwing up, it hurts when I breath. My mother is better, but I'm not. My mother didn't have this but I do. A really strange rash all over my face, chest, even my scalp. At first it didn't hurt or itch. Now it itches. I can't even get out of bed for more than 10 minutes (I'm typing this from bed now) Last night I got up said I felt better, then threw right up again.

My father is taking care of the kittens. So far he didn't get sick. I'm staying away from the kittens, keeping them locked out of my room, just incase they can catch this from me.

So anyone else have this? or know if this is something going around?

AW hun, sorry you are so sick. Don't worry, Midnight and Luna can't get anything from you, so let them snuggle with you
. I was terribly ill two weeks ago, the same thing. I had a fever and flu like I have never had before in my life. The cough was so bad too, I pulled ab and back muscles!! Hang in there, you will be fine in a couple of days. A ton of people are sick now, it has been a bad year. Feel better soon
. Now you can post all day long

It sounded like the flu until you got to the rash. The rash is odd. Not sure where you are, but there have been reported cases of Measles in Masschusetts. You may want to be seen by a doctor.

Hope you feel better soon.

Are you able to keep any fluids down?

I had an episode a few months back where even one sip of fluid would cause massive vomiting/dry heaves.

I hope you feel better

I am battling some upper respiratory thing myself.

Thanks everyone.

Feralvr I still don't want to take any chances with Luna and Midnight getting sick.
Believe me with my luck I do have something they can catch.

AbbysMom I did hear about the woman who flew to I think 5 different airports while sick with the Measles last week. I did look up online pictures of Measles, my rash doesn't look like that at all. So I don't think that's what I have.

Farleyv I hope you feel better soon to!

Ruthyb I do have a doctors appointment 1 day next week, for something else. I'm hoping this clears up by then. There is no way I can get out to a doctor right now. Not like this. I wouldn't even make the car ride there.

Zohdee That sounds like the problem I'm having now. Even water doesn't stay down.

Oh, your poor thing! My first thought was flu, too, until you mentioned the rash. Could that be something unrelated to the flu-like symptoms?
If you can't keep anything else down, try popsicles; you don't want to get dehydrated on top of everything else.
Hope you're feeling better soon!

I'm better today, been able to drink without getting sick. Just had some toast, and haven't gotten sick yet. I feel better. Rash is still there. I'm thinking since this seems to be going away, the rash will go away to. Unless the rash is from something else. I do have allergies, could be something I'm allergic to, even though nothing new has come into the house. I do have trouble each season with my allergies when the weather changes. There hasn't been any big change in the weather, but it has been a little warmer lately.

Oh I'm sorry you've been so sick! Glad to hear you're starting to feel better - but I have no idea what that rash is. I have bad allergies too, and they've already started flaring up this year. I have itchy bumps all over my arms and at the base of my neck. I wonder if maybe you're getting more sensitive to the molds & pollens and stuff, and it just happens to coincide with getting sick with the flu.

Get better soon! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really need to go to the doctor and be tested soon... H1N1 can cause rash in some people, fifths will - though that's usually a childhood illness, and some of the herpes viruses can cause some weird rashes in some people because they're so tough on the immune system. The latter never go away, so if you picked up herpes 4 or 5 it could flare up at any time.
