Morning folks!

Chilly out there today but I think it's going to get more mild as the day goes on.

I am off to work in a bit. Tonight we have volleyball I did really well last week so I am excited!

Not much else going on...I hope you all have a good one!

2nd day of jury duty for me today. I was actually looking forward to sitting and reading most of the day yesterday, but with jury duty...you never know!

There's a huge case coming up, so all the attorneys (it's a civil case and there are about 50 attorneys) pre-screened people yesterday to weed people out before the actual voir dire. It's a long case (about 3 months) and I just can't do that, because I work part-time and my job doesn't pay me if I'm not there and I have to be able to be available for other work. Can't exist on $40 a day for 3 months! So, all I had to say was "self-employed" and they said "okay". Then I was released for the day, and it was only 11:30 AM!

So, I'm back in the pool for today, so we'll see if I get any reading done.

Morning all!

Its an overcat morning with temps to rise to just about freezing and then the dreaded winery mix blend of precip.

Busy day at work (Thursdays always are).

A quick stop hre as my parents are coming for the weekend and I really need to clean some areas of the house this morning before work.

I was the B!T%H at work yesterday late morning. I walked to to mail a letter and I saw a guy standing in the dumpster tossed 2 day old and older bread in the back of his truck.
The ck bed was almost full. I told him he couldn't take this and he said it was for bear bait (hmmm fishy since bears are still hibernating and hunting season is in the fall.)
I made him toss it back (I helped) He asked to speak to a manager and I told him I was the manager and that shut him up a bit.
We donate all our leftover bread every day to the food pantries but this is grocery store returns which we have no preservatives in our products can mold within 3 -5 days thus being able to donate it also to the pantries.
I'm sure he has come before and taken this. I told the owners we really need to get a lock on the dumpster but we share it with the business in the other side of the business.
Sheesh! The nerve!

Morning!

Chilly, but sunny....it's around 15 or so degrees right now.

One of my co-workers came in this morning with a box of neat liquor bottles....she gave them to me because she thought they would be great additions to my witch bottle collection that I do in the fall for Halloween. They're adorable and some of them have very unique shapes....and that's the kind of bottles I'm always looking for. I have to dump the liquor and clean the bottles, but that's not a biggie.

Nothing much going on. Tonight's dinner will be Black Bean Chipotle Soup, a new recipe that I've been wanting to try. With some chunks of cornbread from the freezer.

Our wintry mix is coming in tomorrow night. With more to follow on Tuesday, from what our local weatherweenies are saying right now.

I'm nearly finished for the day but i'll be doing my housework as soon as i get in

Oooooh and liver and onions for tea as well

Goodafternoon.. busy morning, but I'm home now, and I've got to send out a report and really get some accounting homework done.

My mom told me my grandma's still sick from last weekend when we were in Tennessee and saw her, that's not good news at all. I posted a thread requesting vibes from you all. Thanks in advance.

So, my mind is wandering, worrying about her... which will make it hard to concentrate on school work.

Hopheads night tonight, I suppose I'll go, but I'm not in the mood as of now. Oh well.

Good evening, or morning (2am here, Fri).

Ordered 14kg food for the kitties today, I've had another slow and lazy day, can't really do much atm. Mom is coming to visit which stresses me because she's so fussy about everything.. Maybe I could try to vacuum in the morning so at least she doesn't have to nag about that. Also stressed about waiting for results from the hospital, takes couple of weeks to get them. Then I shall know if I'll need another surgery and what my situation is.

Luna is acting a bit different, very chatty and social, so it seems her heat is starting soon and the first mating didn't take. She didn't really show any pregnancy symptoms either so I didn't have my hopes high. I guess we'll have to try again.
