Hey all, I'm new here~ Let's see, I've got 6 cats and a dog, who feels very out of place in a house ruled by cats! From oldest to youngest:
First there's Charlie. He's our oldest: turning 14 this month. He's a big boy at 17 lbs., and that's with losing a bit of weight. He's super sweet, and wants nothing more than to cuddle or be held.
Then there's Neko. He's our 27 lb. behemoth. Also a sweetie, but he likes to throw his weight around some (e.g. laying on top of the other cats). And for whatever reason, he almost never makes a sound.
Next is Jackie (doesn't he look comfy?). He's a blue point ragdoll, and our only purebred. He doesn't act like a ragdoll at all though. He's a total snob and hates being held. If we try and give him any attention, he acts like he doesn't want it and snubs us, yet he's super jealous of all the other cats. I know he wants attention, but it's pretter hard to give it to him when he completely snubs it. He's definitely the problem child of the family.
Next is Emmy Lou. She's hiding under the bed in this picture because that's her favorite spot. She's scared of me and pretty much everything else for no apparent reason. The only time she tolerates me is either when I'm trying to go to sleep, or when her curiosity overwhelms her fear, e.g. the door to my is closed and she'll try to scratch off all the paint to find out what's on the other side, no matter how many times I shoo her.
Then there's Rudy. All of our cats have access to the backyard, but he's the only one who climbs the "cat proof" fence. He terrorizes the local ecology, but there's no way we could keep him in. He likes to bring us "presents", but luckily he leaves them outside most of the time. He loves to kneed and drool and suckle my bracelet.
Finally, there's Loki. She's a princess and absolutely refuses to eat dry cat food and all but the most expensive canned cat food. I'm currently in the process of training her. So far she knows sit and we're working on jumping through a hoop. I've decided she's not the sharpest tool in the shed, and has some serious ADD, but we're getting there.
