Where did you grow up? How many towns/cities have you lived in?

I was born and grew up in Montreal, moved to Vancouver in my 20s and, aside from different municipalities/suburbs in the two urban regions, have never lived anywhere else.

I grew up on the GA-SC state line in North Augusta, SC. I also lived in Augusta, GA after I left my parent's house.
Then it was in no particular order
Thomson, GA
Columbus, GA
New Orleans, LA
Clearwater, SC
Fayetteville, NC
Selma, NC
Raleigh, NC
Beech Island, SC
Columbia, SC
Jacksonville, FL
Jacksonville, NC
Kansas City, MO
DH wants to move to Austin, TX. I wouldn't mind, but I don't think I have such a long move left in me. I want to go home to Augusta, because my daughter and granddaughter live there. We will probably just stay right here in Jacksonville.

I grew up in northern Williamsburg, a section of Brooklyn near the East River. It became very popular with college kids after 1996.. so popular in fact that a song was written about it in 2007 "Williamsburg" (video) However, today it's very different compared to the era I grew up because 80 percent of the residents are now college kids or film students or in a band. I have lived in Singapore and New York City (3 out of 5 counties)

Born & raised in Quincy, Illinos. Moved 40 minutes north to a tiny town of 1600 for DH's work, where we spent the worst 18 months of my life. Came back to Quincy and will never move from here again.

I grew up in Cumberland, MD and lived there until I went to college, which was i Frostburg, MD (a whole 15 minute drive away lol). Then after graduation I moved back home with plans of finding a job around the Washington DC area, which didn't happen, of course. After a few years I decided to pack up and move to Guam...10,000 miles away. Mom always complained that when I finally decided to move it had to be 1/2 way across the world and not just somewhere else in the continental US. So, I lived in Agana (Hagatna) GU and Agat, GU, then moved back home after 4 years. After getting married I moved to Ridgeley, WV (another 15 minute drive back to Cumberland) and I'll probably be here until the day I die.

I love traveling and seeing new places, but I like having my roots and family around me. You couldn't pay me enough now to live around DC (well, give me a figure and we'll discuss it...). I'm a small town girl and happy to stay that way.

I grew up here in Omaha, NE. I've only ever lived here. That is, unless you count my semester away at college? *shrug* In two weeks I'll be able to count one more place.
