Just had two 8month old kittens spayed yesterday. One is now leaking a clear fluid. Her entire backend is soaking wet. I have "fixed" sixteen cats and this is the first time this has ever happen.

I shall call the vet as soon as they open. Until then, I could use some ideas of what it could be.

Could be the start of infection, sure its not dilute pee? I personally would smell it and see:S I would get a sample if its that much(eye dropper, syringe with no needle) just in case it should stop if you do i woulndt store it in fridgejust place it inside a cup in your car or near your keys so you take it with you

I have had many many cats spayed and never saw that...did end up with one who had a bad response and was in a comatose state for a few days(used to tell husband check her has she passed?) BUT she came home very tired compared to others we both(vet and I) just thought there was a delay with her waking up(had dropped off many cats that am and all but her were kittens and vet knows they come home and are crated till fully awake/watched like a hawk so freed up some space there:p. She needed alot of meds/fluids but came through 100% minus she sees me now as the crazy one who drove how fast too get her to vet and get poked probably 100 times in less then a week.

I called the vet as soon as they opened and literally asked them "Why I had a cat who was leaking? It wasnt leaking when I left it with you?"

They also questioned if it was urine and I said I already checked by smelling it.

Other than a soaking bottom, she is perfectly fine. They said give it a few days to see if she dries up. They had used sterile saline to clean her up inside and maybe some was absorbed into her system and flushed out.

When I arrived home from work, she is much drier.

We shall give it a few days.

Forgot to mention that I am glad your own baby came out of her comatose to be able to glare at you for her multiple pokes
