Today is the day we celebrate both Shadey & Imhotep's 9th birthdays! (They are of no relation.) Both were adopted from the Saint John Animal Rescue League.
Shadey was the very first of the Terrific Ten.
He was this beautiful kitten, approx. 10-12 weeks old, all alone in his cage at the shelter. He looked at me with these big, sad, golden eyes and I was SO HOOKED!
Imhotep was adopted a year later, at approx. 1 year old. Mom was going to the shelter to adopt her second kitty, Oliver, and I was stupid enough to go with her.
I heard this ungodly meow and turned around to see his big beautiful blue eyes looking at me. I filled out the paperwork right there, without even discussing it with my ex.
Oh how I love my beautiful boys! Time really does fly... I can't believe they are 9 already.
