Plasma-Cell Pododermatitis

Thread Starter
Ted and Martha over at http://50kittens.com have one of their own cats just diagnosed with plasma-cell pododermatitis – or “puffy paw.†Apparently it is a very uncommon condition and they cannot find much about it on the Internet.

Anyone here know anything about it?

How old is this cat? Is he FeLV/FIV negative (tested/retested)?

First of all, it is of utmost importance that they seek help from a board certified veterinary dermatologist.

Some very basic info

Something to think about

Diet can be extremely important with this disease. Since even the "best" food can contribute to problems such as this, they may have to think about this issue and consider making some changes.

Edit: I would not let a cat with this condition go outside.
