Coupon Printers

I wanted to print some coupons from a website, www.couponsurfer.com. They want to install a coupon printer. Has anyone done this and is it safe. It is an active x type thing and I want to be sure I would not be downloading spyware or adware.

What was the specific name for it? I've install the one that Hill's has up and it's a safe coupon printing program. If in doubt you could go grab the download off of their site. It should work for other coupons.

The name of it is the coupon printer. How do I access the one you are talking about.

It's just on the hillspet site (putting that into google will give you the site) and gives you the option of downloading it should you want a coupon. Someone else may know a safe one, too, that doesn't have anything weird in the EULA. Another option many people use now is to just use a safe app + putting the coupons on their phones.

But you might try seeing if you can just print the coupons first with no program for it. If the site will let you, try one out tomorrow and see if it works.
There are some of these sites that have their own coupon printers that upon installing them they collect some data off of your computer. Like Coupons Inc. a few years back that supposedly collected windows serial keys (software serial keys are worth money) and were sued for it.

On the site I referred to, you cannot print without installing their printer.

I know, hills is fussier.

Can you print off of couponsurfer without it, though?

No, you have to install their printer.

I just remember this thread. sorry. Did you go ahead and try it? If they force you to, it's probably the only option to get at their coupons. You may try asking in the lounge for sites that have coupons but aren't so restrictive as to how you can get them.

If you haven't installed it yet, just be careful and thoroughly read the EULA before you agree to it. Sometimes they'll tell you that they're changing your registry in several places and how. If anything looks weird to you, cancel the install. If you go ahead, update your virus scanner and scan again after you install the printer.
