Tiger and Panther are only ones that have not been neutered, they need to be done, but my wallet is disagreeing with me.

Anyway, I think that Tiger and Panther have swapped their minds partly in few days, Tiger is behaving very nicely, asks to be petted and even loves to be picked up, Panther is misbehaving a lot, he is completely disregarding anything I say, where normally when I have told him not to sneak out from upstairs door, he has been like would never heard a thing, also causing lot of mess and he even grabs Miuku from the scruff while Miuku is eating, so I think it is he that is having hormones getting better of him. Surely Tiger is grabbing others from scruff too, but it is bit different, he does it mostly when they get to sleep or play, for Panther it does not ask when, he acts bit like bully now.

I have seen Mauku again few times, there has been no other cats or even other creatures now at warehouse, but she still spends her nights somewhere else, comes for food during days and visits sometimes at night too, but only at daytime might stay for a while.

She is ok from what I can tell and also she is not so shy anymore, is always prepared to escape and is not really coming very close, but she is coming for food bowl while I fill it and even if I'm at same part of warehouse, so no need to be at doorway anymore for me.

Here are few photos, some show cardboard castle that I made for them, had to use lot of duct tape to make it solid enough for their rough playing, they have been enjoying from it quite well, so ugliness of my build seem not to bother them laughing02.gif

Miuku seems bit tired, nose is not very red, he fills that cat bed quite well too:

Mauku is still around, I don't know how she managed to look so fat there, almost double size that she appears to eye normally, she really does not fat at all when I see her outside with my eyes biggrin.gif Anyway she has lot more fur now than few months ago.
584

Iita thought that my homemade bread would be yummy, oh wait, someone is stalking me...
413

Quick leap to doorway might perhaps get rid of that flashing stalker... I have those insulation material sheets put to door as door is very thin and not insulated, also there is sheet at doorway, which helps a bit when they become too curious about what is otherside, but also eliminates draft completely, outside -10C and I have no heater on at this room, great effect, not very pretty, but cats love to claw and climb that stuff.
371

Being stalked is really tiresome business, you know smile.gif

Panther found something interesting from the penthouse of cardboard castle, which is near ceiling

Omnom, mousee, omnomnom

Now that was fun, what next?
342

Oi, what are they up to?
528

What do you mean this is designed only for one cat?
637

I guess size is just perfect for them, start to feel zzzzssleeepyyyy...

Okthxbye smile.gif

Well, necessarily events did not took place in that order, but it does make a nice story, I had not transferred photos for quite a while from camera, so there is now quite many at once. Iita is usually sleepy at photos as she is too fast for camera most of the time, only when she is sleepy she slows down.

There is no pics from Mouku as mouku is enough scared without flashing camera at front of his nose, he was however sleeping at cat bed with other kitties (how they did fit, I have no idea) when I waked up at the morning, but he is still scared and shy, minus moments when he feels like coming to visit, but those are rare moments.

Panther did grab Miuku from scruff again today when Miuku was drinking water, he pulled Miuku on side just when I came about, Miuku then did flee quickly and Panther was sitting eyes diamond and half closed, ears back, I picked him up and he acted like he would not had any muscles at all. He knows that I don't like him bullying Miuku when Miuku is drinking or eating, but he is still doing it, Miuku is twice the size of Panther, but he is probably not going to stand up for himself, he is just nice and accepts everything, so how would Panther learn that when other one is drinking or eating he should be left alone, or maybe it is just something that should happen, I just don't think Miuku is really liking from that.

Neutering will probably stop that, so need to get funds for that as soon as possible.

He is often now sitting at front of some door and making noise, prrrrrrr, prrrrrrr, also kind of meows too, I guess he would like to find a fence and sing a serenade or something biggrin.gif

Oh my goodness, look at them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Iita is just GORGEOUS! So very striking. agree.gif And Mauku looks GREAT in her winter coat! clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

So has Panther stopped peeing on the floor? He feeling OK?

And that castle looks like the perfect kitty play house! clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Panther has not been peeing at front of doors anymore, but he sits at front of door and makes noises, he can do that for hour sitting at one spot, quite low meow and at beginning there is rrrrrrr sound, bit hard to describe, might upload sample later.

Tiger is doing bit similar too.

I think that it is that they need to get neutered, days are getting now longer already, breeding time starts here in 2-3 months, because our climate cats mostly breed during spring, raise kittens at summer and may foster them over next winter until at spring cycle starts again.

Tiger actually has become very friendly, he quite often fells on his side so that he fells over my feet, usually when I reach to pet him, also he likes to rub his head against me, recently he has been purring when I pick him up and is fine when I carry him around, sometimes he even stays a bit on my lap, not very long, but he is starting to understand qualities of indoor life for sure.

Panther is not quite so affectionate but he is more willing to be on lap.

Also there has been bit of incidents with Panther recently, electricity being problem, his fur is generating a lot of static, so often he has got 'bitten' by static charge and one day he got his nose bitten twice which made him quite cautious for few days, poor thing probably thought that I bite him or something like that.

Little iita is also accepting slowly more contact, some petting and I can pick her up too, but she does not like it very much, however she has found out that it is not very bad thing. I don't know if she is growing at all, others have grown for sure, but iita is still tiny and picking her up is like picking up air, must be half weight of boys, of course if I pickup Miuku and after that iita, there is bit of shock, Miuku is bit too heavy, he would need some running to keep weight on check, but he does not run, but he is very friendly and even he is not too fond of being picked up he is no more struggling to get away, also he is the one that needs to be pet every hour, sometimes much more often.

I don't know why, but every time he comes to my side of upstairs he comes next to me and rubs his cheek against my leg and also top of his head, every time he sees me he does that, no others, just Miuku.
If I cook downstairs or do something outside and come back to upstairs, he comes and does the same, then he follows me around for good 15 minutes.

He has been doing this since we had bit of accident once, really really long time ago, then I was bringing fish to their feeding place and Miuku managed to run to my legs without me noticing him, when I took a step there was Miuku and my leg did hit him, which was surely unpleasant for him as he did run quickly to hide and stared there for minute, until he gathered that it was perhaps accident and came rubbing his head against me, after that head rubbing has been hourly event :P

I think that something is happening, you see little iita decided to come sit on top of my chest when I did go to sleep, she then walked bit around and decided to sleep right next to me and not even at leg end, but near my elbow level, she becomes always very affectionate after and during playing and starts to like from petting, her tail goes straight up when I pet her, I think it is automated biggrin.gif

Tiger is very much of same, except he comes to ask petting and has also been very accepting for being picked up, sometimes even is enjoying some lap time, he is coming around real fast now it seems, he is perhaps now bravest of them all, he is not running away at all anymore, others tend to move away when I get up from chair etc. but not tiger, he ploughs trough others half running and bumps right to my leg without slowing down at all, then he rubs his head agains me with some force and great speed, surely Miuku does that too, but he is so careful and shy that it is like super slow motion version of what Tiger does.

Tape measure is little iita's great mystery, when I extend it she comes running to examine and when I let tape wind itself into housing she chases that tape, grabs it examines, lets it run and catches again, then takes good time trying to figure out where that thing did go, from what I can tell she is liking from that quite a bit wink.gif

edit: There is surely something going on, no doubt about it, Miuku has been sleeping in cat bed or in cabinet of computer table which I converted to comfy cat cave by covering floor and walls with a soft blankets (what you cover yourself with when sleeping), he sleeps there even I am sitting right next to that place, he has learned to trust a lot more somehow.

Then Mouku has started to come to my side of upstairs more, he even did come to allow some petting, they all have been at my side of upstairs today as outside has been really horrible cold and their side of upstairs is not the warmest, but it is bit surprising that even Mouku has been okay with me moving around.

That cabinet has been same for months, nobody has really used it for sleeping, Tiger is perhaps only one that has visited once or twice there, but as Miuku slept there I noticed tiger going there too and since Tiger has considered it to be ok place to sleep too.

Panther is trying to boss around Miuku though and Miuku is not standing up against him in any way, which is odd, imo, Miuku is so much larger and older.

Tiger was not nice today, well he is very nice to me usually, but he was not nice to Mouku.

Mouku did go to bed where Tiger was, they were about to get to sleep, they looked quite friendly licking and all that cat stuff, but for some reason Tiger decided to start fight, they were not playing, there was lot of fur on bed very quickly, first I thought they were playing, but it was not playing at all, now Mouku has been then again shy to come to this side.

He did that completely unprovoked too, Mouku put bit of fight back, but he did not use that kind of force at all.

I think that they need to be separated, just don't know how to arrange that one, but I will not allow Tiger to do that, nor Panther in that manner, they are newcomers and they should know they are not on top and at least not allowed to be fighting with these two original ones.

If I could get Miuku and Mouku both to my side of upstairs, I would keep them few days here and let those little ones be between each other, maybe Miuku and Mouku would then learn that it would be ok to have their territory moved to my side of upstairs, it would help a lot with taming them too. It is just quite difficult to get Mouku this side so that only Miuku is here.

Maybe Tiger has been naughty to Mouku before too and maybe that is reason why Mouku is so shy, when Mauku was here she probably kept those little ones at bay as she was quick to paw them to head.

Well, it is probably those stupid hormones, fixing would help, but it is so costly and currently there is no income at all frown.gif

I did relocate cat tree, it is now at window shelf, bolted securely so it wont tip over. Now they can watch birds much better as they can go all the way up to ceiling at front of window. Tiger was of course first one to climb to the top of the cat tree.

Also I did install earlier one 2 by 4 wood to their side, it acts as support to their bridge that runs near ceiling across of room, now Tiger can climb up to bridge using that 2 by 4, it does make quite bit of noise, but he somehow manages to find enough grip to actually climb it all the way up.

There is even small cave at bottom of cat tree, that is another reason why I did relocate that tree, so that it could get used a bit as before it was on floor and they did not used that much, but now it is actually close where computer exhaust fan is so it is warmer than rest of the room, doorway to that cave is of course so that moving air can't get into cave.

Little iita is now taking turn of being at top of the tree, paws are hanging out from top level, of course Tiger is not okay with that and some pawing of course was result from that, they are bit like that at times.

When I was installing cat tree, putting screws to base, Tiger already started examining it, happily bumping to screw driver and offering his helping paw, luckily with no claws this time :P

Tree is not quite as solid as I was hoping for, there is quite bit of movement when they jump from there, but that is because window shelf is not very solid build, surely it will not fail, but it is flexing a bit.

Relocating cat tree has been perhaps one of the best moves I have done, it is hugely popular place now, before it was hardly used at all, but now there is always someone in there and even Mouku might come to sleep at 2nd floor without any worries of me being near him.

Mouku has started to be on my side of upstairs lot more recently, I have managed to pet him few times too, he is still shy and runs to their side, but he keeps coming back quite soon, also he likes to sleep now on my side of upstairs too, which is great.

He still have really long way to go, but he is clearly trying now.

There has been great changes with Miuku too, he is not shy at all, still does not like from being picked up but anything else he loves a lot, he trusts me a lot these days.

Little cats are all even more trusting, well with Panther we have little issue, he is scared of my hands, that is because he got few times static charge to his nouse when he examined my hands, curses of winter time, but he is ok otherwise and maybe recovers soon from those static charges too.

Outside temperatures have fallen to -28-4C (under -19F) and Mauku is still running outside all nights and staying at warmed cat box only during the day.

I don't know how she stays alive, I'm about to freeze to death when I get firewood accross the yard.

Tiger did jump to staircase today without permission, he was quite bit of trouble to get back inside then as for some reason he did go to panic mode in there. I guess it was bit of shock to him to feel -30C (below -20F) floor and air all of sudden and he could not find place where ground would not been so cold, he was like he would not know me at all, running around, I did kept door open and finally he did run inside and straight trough cat door to their side. It took good 10 minutes from him to come around and oh boy how he wanted petting after he realised that I was that giant he loves to bump at almost hundred times a day laughing02.gif

I decided to start a blog where I can put more of daily endeavours of my feline friends. I might not update that daily, but every time when I have something on my mind. I might post some stuff here too, but I think I mainly put stuff to blog so that this site is not getting so clogged with my babblings.

You can find blog at http://feralsaver.weebly.com/

Oh I LOVE your "babblings!!!!" Now I'm going to have to remember to check the blog. sigh.gif Of course, it may get a wider audience as a blog. hugs.gif

I'm SO happy to hear about the progress with Mouku! I really can't imagine what changed after Mauku got out of the trap... but it's so nice to see he's starting to feel more trusting. rub.gif

As to Mauku.... that really is amazing. I guess she knows what she's doing! And with the support of food.... dontknow.gif Though I expect the amount she eats between summer and winter will be VERY different! laughing02.gif

woohoo.gif on the cat tree! I remember when we first put the cat trees altogether in a row. It COMPLETELY changed the dynamic of using them. When they were individual trees in the room, they got some attention. But when they were like a giant jungle-gym in front of the window, they cats went NUTS, flying around on them, jumping to and fro - or using them as a perch to watch out the window. laughing02.gifclap.gif

Don't worry, I will babble here too, just maybe not quite so often, but at least now and then I must come to tell that there is updates so you can take a peek.

I did put up now kind of Family table, might update that at some later point, but making such would not been possible in here, at least I think, but here it is for you all to look:
http://feralsaver.weebly.com/index.html

Mouku was odd yesterday, I could pet him any time I wanted and he loved to cuddle next to me when I was on bed using laptop, he was in deep sleep there. Then when I visited shop and came back he was nowhere to be found, but I noticed that he was hiding between mattresses, I gave him toy mouse I brought for him from shop and wen't to my side again, less than 5 minutes and he jumped to bed and accepted petting and just before he did run to other side of room when I noticed him hiding between mattresses.

Later he did wrestle with Tiger at leg end of my bed at top of my legs partly, then he got scared and was looking to jump away from bed, but I did pet him from head and he decided to take a nap right next to me.

He is afraid of quick moves and loud noises still, maybe others play too rough for him and he thinks that I play even rougher?

Don't really know, probably cats don't think quite the same as we do, but whatever it is, he is getting better at least I think so.

Anyway if he is sleeping on my bed and I go to downstairs, he might not even notice that much, but when I come back he is no longer on my side of upstairs, that, imo, supports theory that it has to do something with kittens.

Interesting about Mouku. Whatever it is... I'm so glad he's enjoying some pets, and sleeping comfortably next to you again. But oh those pesky "other" kitties! flail.gif

Mouku did surprise me this morning though, put story of that to my blog, something that I was not excepting to happen at all, but he just did that, quite amazing cat he is biggrin.gif

Managed to spook Miuku, it was time for his worming, medicine bottle said loud SQUIRRRTTT when I squeezed it to his neck and he really got scared of that, he has not been fully ok after that, suspicious of my hands now, but I'm sure he will come around soon, I guess I will move to eating type of deworming medicine, this one you put on neck is no good for their minds.

It has been bit quiet, managed to broke my back so I have been prisoner of bed for quite some time now, actually so long that cats have already adjusted to my loud noises when I try to get up and move around.

There was also small disaster (broken back is just minor setback, It should be fine in few weeks), my computer table was such that I had put larger table top on it to increase surface area, so that cat bed fits nicely on top of that. Problem was that desk under cat bed was not supported, surely it was wooden table top so should not have issues, but when four of them decided to get into single cat bed table gave up, with loud bang they did end up to floor with their cat bed.

They got really scared of and did run to hide, it took hours until bravest ones emerged from the hiding.

After bit of inspection they however decided that it was nothing to do with me.

So there is always something good in disasters, I did put cat bed to leg end of my bed, they love it a lot, every time I'm bed there is at least one of them in bed, Miuku is only one who is not coming, he is one of the bravest but will not come, he sometimes comes to get petting, but he is not sleeping on bed, even shy Mouku sleeps now next to cat bed, leaning heavily against me, loving from petting, but still being very scared if I sit on chair or move in room, except when he is on cat tree, then he is not scared when I move around.

He is surely lot better now, still long way to go. For iita and Mouku I need to use scissors soon, their avoidance of brushing has caused tight fur knots to their fur, which I must cut away, but I must wait until they are enough trusting to do that.

Mauku did disappear two days ago, she was few weeks at warehouse so that she did not go out from there, then one day I saw she came out of cat box, sat there looking at me as I filled her bowl and as usual she started eating as I did go away from warehouse, she ate really little and haven't seen her since, food is not disappearing. We had really cold day and snow storm day after that, no prints on snow, actually never saw her prints or her in camera either, which is bit odd as there really is no much other way out from warehouse, but she clearly is not in the warehouse as food is not disappearing and I have not seen her there.

One thing is bit silly, cats are now where I am, if I go to other side of upstairs, they go there, if I come back they follow, if I am at bed they settle down, if I get (I can barely get up) they get up too and start playing and doing cat things. I don't know why, but that is how they do now, Mouku bit less than others. Miuku is still wanting to come into stairs with me, when I allow it, when there is not too cold, he throttles right next to my feet, down and up, like dog which is ordered to follow.

Even Mauku can't get kittens anymore, I think that spring time has started some routine on her, maybe she just eat a lot before her big journey, I think that she did go to find out other cats, just hopefully snow storm has not caused her to lost her way. Not even visiting for food in two days, or actually now is starting 3rd day, is bit long for her.

Oh we have got over foot snow in a week and I have no means to move that snow from yard as my back is no working, so I don't know if that too is causing trouble to her.

Almost 18 inches of snow total on yard and I have to try if I can get my car to move now, will be interesting, especially if I can get up from car, there is not knowing of that yet...

I forgot, I meant to put up a pic of Mouku as he was sleeping on cat bed no leg end of my bed, just look at those whiskers, they are really long, something like twice of my palm width as Mouku's head is around width of my palm, his head is twice as wide as iita's head, well that is at least impression I get, truth might be whole different biggrin.gif
413

Btw, Mouku just loves good rubs on his big ears, he came today to ask more rubbing after I gave him a little, that much better he is now, still not the same as last summer, 7 months of setback or so, but maybe he is fine again at summer...

So long without news, it's been rather busy here, but also there has been lot of interesting things happening.

These days when I go to sleep, there is Little iita, Tiger, Panther and Mouku coming to sleep too, Mouku usually climbs on my legs and sleeps there as if my legs would make good bed laughing02.gif

Miuku usually jumps to bed when I start to go into bed, lot of petting required and he rolls over and moves his paws on air eyes closed purring loudly.
However he is not sleeping on bed, he sleeps next to bed looking towards everyone else and sometimes he moves to one of cat houses I have made for them.

Little iita is also now begging for petting, she is really learning to like from petting, still bit shy about that, but is already coming to ask petting before she goes to sleep, that is a routine actually.

Mauku is still living at the warehouse. I was today working under the car (lying on ice as it still is cold winter here), when I saw Mauku walking past me, she did take few nervous looks, but did not speed up her walking. She has not been eating for 5 days now, she does eat a bit when I put wet food for her, but not much else, she had also big belly as now I managed to get good look on her, maybe she has worms, or then she has eaten all the creatures that have been making noises under and top of the bathroom. Anyway it is already time for her medication and I did put medicine into her favorite meat, which I give her rarely, I hope that she eats that at least.

She does not look hungry and looks healthy otherwise, also she is running around the yard and forest too as during the night snow hardens up if it has been warmer day and she can actually again travel bit further without facing deep sinking snow.

I have been trying to get her trapped over a week now anyway as I need to reorganize the warehouse, but she shows no interest towards the trap.

Her belly look like if she would be pregnant, but she can't be as she is fixed already, hopefully I can get her trapped so I can get her vaccined properly at the vet as summer is coming too and some protection would be good for summer time.

Oh my goodness, you broke your back? eek.gif Many vibes.gifvibes.gifvibes.gifvibes.gif it is healing well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AWWWWWWWWWW..... they're becoming CUDDLE BUGS! And Miuku is kneading in the air! biggrinlove.gifrub.gif

I know exactly what you mean about Mauku. Our "Little Dot" is NOT little, and if I didn't know she was spayed, I would think she's pregnant! It's much warmer now than it was, and almost no food is disappearing - they're all out hunting, I guess. I see them here, and some come when I call them to let them know I'm putting the food out, but very little food is being eaten. dontknow.gif

I use topical medication for two of them, and need to get it on them. agree.gif I really don't know under all that winter fur if Dot is fat or full of worms or what.

I made this picture with my non existing skills at drawing, but maybe gives you idea, belly full of worms is something like this I have been told:
http://jtbo.pp.fi/images/road_pics/nisakkaat/cat_worm_belly.gif

Back is still bit of problem, lot better than what it was, but spending hour or two under the car for two days have certainly made it hurt and a lot, difficult to get up from bed again, but it will be better with time.

Anyway, for some reason spring makes cats more curious and not so scared, this morning I did manage to feed Mauku at kitchen, I changed her water and told her to come into kitchen for dinner, what a surprise, she did came, ate and then walked few steps away into warehouse that is separated only by door from warehouse, then I told her to come again and use that cat door, left food into kitchen so that she can see it from cat door, maybe she finally understands that it is ok to use that cat door too.

To give you better idea, orange colored room is kitchen, two big 'room' are actually warehouse and Mauku is living at lower section, sometimes she is area that has blue transparent 'floor', in reality that is just simple wooden planks up there and top of there old sofas from 50's and 60's which she prefers over her heated box for most of the time.

459

Now that I think about it, there is connection between when I managed to take out one rat and when she stopped eating so much, but also lot less rattling sounds too, maybe she did like from taste and started hunting those kind of too, that are destroying insulation of my bathroom while trying to find warmer places.

It is still -10C to +4C range in temperatures here.

I could not check if she has eaten her medication food, but will check later today, I placed it to near area where she usually rests and I did not need to go that far as I did met Mauku at half way already where her water is.

Old male I am (at least I feel old), some could say that I'm bit of redneck, living at country and having hobby of repairing old cars, don't really care what others think, life is too short to live someone else's life they say wink.gif

Travelling teacher, IT consult, freelancer, student and job seeker might perhaps describe bit of what I do for living, thing is recession has hit our country whatever wise bosses say and there is ever longer periods of time to improve what one knows as job opportunities are far less, but it gives one some time to spend with cats and try to tame them too.

Little iita is actually starting to come around nicely, she comes to beg petting now too, also she starts to be very naughty, doing things she know she must not do and even when I'm around she does such, purposely, so that is good, she is shaking off her feral behavior slowly, she still is as tiny as ever, also still fastest of them all and she knows it, often slaps her brother and then runs as her brother tries to get revenge, and some say cats are not mean! laughing02.gif

Today I got cat it senses feeding thing, it is such that cat needs to think a bit and use his/her paws to grab some food, it drops to lower level and again cat need to push it to lower level to get food, idea is to make eating slower/less as two of mine are bit overweight, that might help them a bit to reduce amount of eating.

It was on sale here http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_toys/miscellaneous/catit/232754 not too pricey for my thin wallet.

I buy most of the stuff from that shop as there is no large pet shops near me.

Little iita?  Little iita?  oh goodness, I jumped ahead to drop a Hello to you and I read too much,,,,   I am only on page 9 - last June - Mouku has just let you pat for the first time...

I am desperately trying to catch up.

I am thoroughly enjoying reading your kitty story.  Hopefully soon I will read how Little Iita and brother came into your life...  caticon.gif

Although you say that English is not your first language, I love how your straightforwardness comes out in translation. squarefreak.gif

pssh, a person is only old if he allows him/herself to feel that way.

You are wonderful to take such good care of your kitties.  It is clear that they love you so much.

His, male is he and I am very manly thewife.giflaughing02.giflaughing02.giflaughing02.gif

As insecure male who fears his manlyness is somehow threatened I must post manly pic of manly things which is completely unrelated but that is what I mostly did today biggrin.gif

Mouku stopped sleeping on top of my legs, maybe I was kicking too much when I was at sleep, but he sometimes does come to bed still, but he has now two new places to sleep too, also I put one box on top of cat tree, but box is bit small, so mostly little ones fit in there.

Miuku does not fit, I'm amazed he does fit trough cat door, but new feeding seem to be working well, he hates it clap.gif

Somehow he manages to look bit slim at photos, but he could use good exerice for sure. Little cats, even Little iita are not gaining weight at all, they eat same stuff, little ones eat more as they push Miuku out from bowl when I put food for them, but Miuku is learning, also new feeding system should help too.

I wonder why he has yellow on chest, maybe it is just the camera and colours, but quite some times when I take photo I can see yellow there.

You can also see film on window that I put there to prevent too much of sun entering indoors, there is other layer outside, I left inner layer bit short like shown in pic that in dim light they can look better outside from upper levels of cat tree.

Also I met this kind of creature, all that snow came down yesterday evening and night, actually good part of that came in 1 hour and I had to go to shop at that time. Anyway she walked right past me, took few quick steps when near me, slowed down and looked back after passing and then continued to warehouse. Was quite bit of work to move all that snow once again...

Yeah, I missed some posts! The funny thing is, I always thought you were a guy - it's just the probabilities are in favor of being female. laughing02.gifanon.gif

I guess something like 10:1 female:male ratio, cats are not considered very manly thing, even they are rather brutal beasts if you look from appropriate angle that is laughing02.gif

For me, these big ones or our small ones are not much different, just look what those that certainly know big ones say about their tails:

Tigers can talk with their tails.
A tail that stands erect and wags slightly may be a friendly greeting.
A tail that wags rapidly can mean the tiger is excited.
A lowered tail that twitches means – beware!

Well, that is pretty close what I can observe daily here, I even named one as tiger and oh boy does he do that tail low and wiggling head often, almost constantly and almost constantly he is pouncing to some other cat or against me like real jungle beast. Reason why I named him as tiger is however his stripes and face.

Sorry that photos are bit poor quality, I was just testing camera settings as I tried to figure out why sometimes pics came out bad, found the reason though, must shoot in RAW format and manual mode to get decent quality, first one was at auto mode:

Mauku seem to trust me a lot when I'm under the car, she came today right next to me to check what I do, then took few steps back and sat there for good amount of time, silently just sit and stared, I thought that she wanted perhaps some of food, so I get up, she turns around and jogs back to warehouse. Then I saw she has no fur at tip of her tail, almost half inch is pale, also other hind leg is missing fur from backside, I don't think she is too well.

Problem is that I have been trying to catch her quite some time now, but she is not going into trap, she choses to starve before going into trap.

She is almost coming to kitchen though, so maybe she is willing to be trapped.

However, I remember when I saw her two years ago first time, she had also then fur missing from tip of her tail.

I have tried to feed her worm medicine in food, but as she has not been eating too much, she has not eaten medicine. However, she seem to have gained her apetite back now and is eating again, but that might be because I have not heard any scratching from bathroom any longer and at the same time, I think Mauku's belly has been epically large laughing02.gif

I know that she is running on yard like crazy old lady during midnight sun festival, so I guess she has been getting good amount of nature's best diet.

Some critters had digged under the snow and aten some bushes at my garden, I moved snow away near bushes and found lot of evidence that there has been some critters living under the snow there, as they have no place to sit in safety now, Mauku has of course true cat days while she runs after all those critters on open ice, yes, ice, whole yard is like one big skating ice at the moment, good for cat that can use her claws, but poor me, felled 5 times today alone, surprisingly no bones broken, no back issues.

Mauku seem to be quite ok with me coming and going under her, she is near ceiling at warehouse, looking down what I do there, but if I move big things or make lot of noises, she decides to go to my other warehouse across to yard, I made hole to door there so she can come and go as she pleases. It is much more quiet there, but she does not stay there more than few hours for some reason, maybe she thinks that closer to house warehouse is her home and can't be relaxed at other places.

She is not much interested from playing with me, but she is fine to take food from spoon that is on my hand, also she comes to see what I bring, sometimes also I can surprise her as she has been spying from cat door where she can see me cooking etc.

She has no real interest to indoors, but she is ok to come into doorway to get food, but stepping inside is big step, rare thing.

One might think that she would be bored there, but amount of mice I see there neatly placed on rows, tells me that she has some games of her own laughing02.gif

Now Mauku is gone, it has been three days since I last saw her or any paw prints, food is also not disappearing.

There was inch or two new snow three nights ago and last I saw any trace of her was before that snowfall.

It can be that she comes back soon, but three nights is long for her, one night or two is possible, but even then there usually has been some prints or food disappearing, now there has been nothing at all.

I just hope that she has not got lost when new snow came in, she might have gone looking bit further as it was nice weather days before snow came and ever since it has been raining wet snow and ground has been constantly wet from snow. This night is also going to be very cold one compared to previous ones, so it might be quite horrible for cat being outside, wet paws freezing to ground etc.

If she does not appear tomorrow, then I'm really starting to worry, she never have been away that long without visiting secretly at least.

She has not been at other warehouse either and there is no pawprints on snow near roads either where she usually walks by even if not staying at warehouse.
