I wish that I had found this forum sooner as I'm sure it would've helped me a lot when I really needed it last summer. Although they've been gone for months now, I still find myself accidentally calling my other cat by their names, or expecting Tiger to jump up on the sofa to nap with me. Tiger left us in late May last year when he finally lost his battle with CRF. I was heartbroken and looked to my two remaining cats fro comfort. After a few weeks, we decided the house just wasn't full enough with two cats and so we adopted a kitten from a local rescue group. I was hoping the new kitten would cheer up my now oldest cat Amber. She had been very depressed after losing Tiger and hadn't wanted to do much of anything. Sadly, only six weeks after Tiger passed, I came home from work and found Amber lying on the floor barely breathing. I rushed her to my emergency vet, but she died on the table 30 minutes later. The vet said she had no idea what happened, that it had appeared to be some sort of bacterial infection but she didn't know what. I have a feeling though that she just couldn't go on after losing her best friend. I found some comfort in the thought that at least they are together again. I will forever love you both.

I'm very sorry for your loss. It must have been rough losing both of them in such a short time. RIP, Tiger and Amber.

I'm so sorry that Tiger and Amber died. Back in November my cat Lynxx died. I couldn't even imagine losing another one so soon.

I know how hard it is to lose two cats so close together like that and I don't wish that on anyone and am so sorry about your Amber and Tiger. Now that you have found TCS I hope you stick around, alot of supportive caring people. Grief can be a very long process and hang in there, it helps to talk about your cats.

How difficult it must have been to lose them both so close together. I'm really sorry.

I understand how long it can take to get over the loss of a cat, especially if they die suddenly or from some awful disease. It's just the most hopeless, frightening feeling when we can't help them or save them.

I'm so very sorry you lost them both. Take comfort in the fact that you loved them well and gave them good lives. They will never be far from you now.

I am sorry I just saw this thread. I want you to know I am deeply sorry for what you have been through. I hope you have someone to hug you because I am sure you need a big bear hug. I really do hope and pray that your memories will bring you comfort and peace. God bless.
