That must have been scary![/b] I really wanted to see some big cats at the animal reserve, but despite leaving camp around 5:00 in the morning, we still missed 'em. Drat.
That's to bad you didn't get to see the big cats.

A mom and pop zoo in the UP of michigan has a baby animal petting area. I got to pet a scratch a badger, a wolf pup and there was another one I can't think of the name.
That must have been cool. Badgers are cool, only ever saw them on t.v.

Capybaras are like 100-pound guinea pigs, LOL. The world's largest rodents. They live in the Amazon.

Vicunas and alpacas are llama cousins. They look almost the same, there are subtle differences.

Marmosets are little golden monkeys. Very cute.

I don't remember the giraffe encounter. So I don't remember what his tongue felt like. Like most tongues, I imagine, LOL.

A three toed sloth while we were in Panama. He was rescued from a bad situation and had just gone through rehabilitation. And yes, that is how they told me to hold him.

And here he is:

Hard question... I'm not exactly sure what I would call weird. I've touched a live bear, it was tranquilized. It had been loose in my neighborhood, and was being taken back to the forest. I've also touched snakes, and I'm not sure what kinds I touched at the Global Wildlife Center that I visited a while back.

I guess when I swam with and pet sting rays. But they weren't really considered strange to me.

Too funny, Carolina!

The strangest animal I've ever touched is Geronimo.
