So I am pretty sick right now and ran out of Parkers regular food, Wellness. I was hoping someone would have been kind enough to get me a couple cans to hold me over, but no such luck. I am even out of dry food...the only thing thats here is some Friskies wet, if I give that to Parker for now, could he end up with an upset tummy from the sudden change? There is absolutely no way of me getting any of his regular food until at least tomorrow night, since the store is closed now.

I guess it depends on the cat, but it's been my experience that a change in canned food does not upset my cats' tummies but a change in dry food sometimes does.

I hope you feel better.

Changing the wet shouldn't be a problem.... He should be ok. Vibes for you to get better soon!

Every single meal my cats get a different flavor and brand of wet food, never any issues. No clue why switching dry is such a huge deal while wet is not, but in any case, no worries. Hope you feel better!

Ok, I wasn't sure. I know changing dry can be a problem (learned that when Buddy arrived). I just wanted to make sure changing wet food like that wouldn't be an issue, I really don't want to clean up any messes if I don't have to.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Hope you're feeling better soon. To be honest, I've never had any problem, through several cats, of switching wet or dry brands. I feed several brands simultaneously.

Thanks.

Buddy ended up with runny stools for a week after we got him. I had no idea at the time what it was until we called the lady that had him and asked what she fed him. Was a different dry food. Oops! So now I get paranoid feeding them different kinds of food, but you guys were right, the change in wet didn't seem to bother him. Now I think I will switch him up with a cheaper grain free aside from Wellness. Too expensive at over 3 bucks a can!
