Going for tattoo number 8 this evening!

My brother, Ty, is finally giving me my Christmas gift this evening after work, my free tattoo, woot! It's my 8th tattoo and I can't wait. I'm going for something different from the one I originally wanted, but I'm not going to tell you all what it is. I'll post pics tonight when I get home. Let's just say it's going to be GORGEOUS, on my left calf, and cat related of course. I love having a brother who's a tattoo artist!

I've always thought about getting tattoos, but I'm too chicken of needles! I let my nieces put temporaries on me sometimes, does that count?

Nice! How long did it take?

I've considered getting a tattoo for awhile but never could make up my mind on an image or where to put it. I draw things on with pen but then get bored of them... so I guess tattoos are not for me!

It took a little less than 2 hours. Most of my tats are cat related, although I also have an Egyptian Ankh as well as the Chinese symbol for "friends" as my best friend and I got that one together.

I think it's fun how your body and heart (and home) have become a "temple" for cats!

She is Bast, the Egyptian Cat Goddess. I have ALWAYS been fascinated by anything to do with Ancient Egypt, not to mention they worshipped cats, which is how it should be. I also have an Egyptian Ankh on my back.
