Would this be a defect in my camera? or just the way the camera is.

My camera takes really good pictures, only certain colors will come out a different color. Example: if something is purple, in the pictures it comes out blue. Luna has green eyes, even though every picture her eyes come out gold.

The camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5.

Your white balance may not be set correctly for the lighting. It's a little difficult to diagnose the problem without actually seeing what it's doing.

I agree it could be your white balance or whatever screen you are viewing your pictures on could be off on the color

Do you have it in hippie setting? I hear that really messes with the color balance

I have no idea what the setting is on the camera. Like computers, I don't know anything about cameras. I just know I can take pictures, and videos with it. There is a setting on it for taking pictures of pets, I've been using that with the kittens. I guess I'll have something else to bother my neighbor with, he already fixes our laptops all the time lol
