Omega Paw vs Booda

I need a third litterbox for my apartment. I currently have two boxes for two cats, and there are no problems since Memphis refuses to jump into a rubbermaid container and Tails loves jumping in it so they basically have their own boxes. I would like to get a third box to prevent any possible future issues, and so Memphis and Tails can learn to share something (Memphis is a little protective of his box).

I have exhausted all partially closed off locations like the closet and the corner the rubbermaid is in, so I am looking at covered boxes I can place in more open areas. The two I am looking at are the Omega Paw and the Booda. I have never dealt with one of these litterboxes before, they cost similar amounts, and they have similar reviews on amazon, so I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with one of these two and what you think of them? Thanks.

I can only speak to the Omega from personal experience. First off the small size is too small for normal cats, so just get the large.

It is not designed whatsoever to prevent tracking, so if you don't have room for a litter mat, you're going to have tracking to clean up.

What it is designed for is ease of cleaning. All you do is shake it a couple times to settle the litter flat, roll it slowly, and then roll it back and shake it back and forth again. The pea clumps and poo are all then caught in the little handle portion. VERY fast and VERY easy.

I can only speculate, but the Booda does not look like it has anything that offers ease of maintenance. In fact, it appears you can't even see if the litterbox was used or not, whereas with the Omega you can easily glance and see that the litter is disturbed, quick roll, and voila clean again.

They both waste considerable room when it comes to litter size, the Omega wastes room in that some of the area of the box is dedicated to sifting and catching the pee/poo, and with the Booda it looks like almost half of it is just ramp.

Personally, for an open area that isn't closed or partially closed off, I wouldn't buy either and would look for an inexpensive furniture/disguised litterbox, or modify cheap Ikea furniture and put a standard litterbox and scoop inside.

Perhaps something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Good-Pet-Stuff...8502727&sr=1-1

(the plant part isn't my style, but could easily be upgraded using any other faux design of your choosing from what I can tell)

Another option which is what Gary and I are currently looking into something like this:

But use it as the bathroom sink vanity. So that way we have more counter space (right now we have a pedestal sink) and can hide the box away!
