Hi! My cat has been throwing up for the past hour or so and he's making loud noises.
He started to poop on the floor after I slowly and gently petted his sides and back.

I'm just wondering if this is something serious and should be brought onto the vet?
Also, he is about 11 years of age.

Did he eat something different that could have made him sick? I would call the vet.

Can't get a hold of a vet, they don't do homeservice and we don't have a working car and can't bring him the 20 kilometers to get to the closest vet.

He has calmed down a lot now but he still makes that noise every 5 minutes or so.

What about getting a friend or family member to bring you to the vet?

Take him to an Emergency vet... get a ride, bus, taxi, whatever you can get to get there.... Call your vet's office and see if there is an emergency vet closer to you - the nearest one will be on their answering machine. It is open 24 hours. I would really really advise you to go...

Seriously, don't wait!!! This sounds serious and your cat needs help. We cannot advise you other than getting your cat to a vet at this point because it sounds like you cat needs emergency care. Please let us know how your cat is doing

I agree with everyone else, an hour of vomiting means something is really wrong with your cat. Whatever you can do to find a car or some way of getting him to a vet, do. He needs one ASAP.

If he were my cat, I'd be freaking out and getting him to the emergency vet now.

Good luck, and please let us know how it goes. We care!

Lots of that your kitty is OK. I sure hope so.

You have been given good advice. Your cat does not need to get dehydrated from vomiting. Please update how he is doing.

Sounds like he might have something stuck in his throat. He really needs to see a vet and I hope you can get a ride from a kind neighbor. One cat long ago that I rescued did this from the time he was turned over to me till he got to the vet (quickly I might add) turns out he had a sewing needle stuck sideways in his throat.

Can you take the cats temperature with a rectal thermometer? Leave glass thermometers in 2 and a half to 3 minutes to get an accurate reading.

If there is nothing caught in the cats throat that you can find, do you have any reglan/metoclopramide around? 10 mg will do the trick every 7 hours for vomiting until you can get the animal to a veterinarian.
