I don't think Autumn is a big fan of Winter!

I'm sorry, but I am not amused by this video. To me she appreared frightened and in distress. Obviously she wasn't harmed, but I would not have let her slog around in the snow and cry like that. Just my sentiments.

It's true she was stressed out and we played a "mean" joke on her, but mom was always near by encouraging her. She is way spoiled, so I'm sure we are forgiven.

Both her and her sister are indoor/outdoor cats, but have never gotten used to snow. We did the same thing to her sister a 2nd time and she was much more relaxed and did not rush to get indoors this time.

However it was Autumns first try.

I have to agree with AddieBee, that video made me sad.
I have no doubt Autumn is spoiled (and she is beautiful!), but even you admitted that she was distressed being out in the deep snow. I don't begrudge people having indoor/outdoor cats, but I could never do it. I can't imagine letting my little girl out into the world.

I am glad someone said something, this video made my heart hurt a little but I am a sensitive person so wasn't sure if it was just me. I guess I would just let her stay inside if she didn't like the snow.

I have to mention that Autumn figured out how to get through snow (by jumping) a lot quicker than Baby who just tried to walk through it.

Of course, Baby is so lazy she won't even jump up onto furniture, she just stands up, digs her front claws in and pulls herself up.

My one and only outside/inside cat Mitten was cute in the snow. Used to call him a "snow bunny". He hated water and rain but would walk around in the snow for 10-15 mins (all I would allow him).

One year the snow got deeper in the middle of the yard. He started out from the steps (I was outside with him) and started walking into the yard. It got deeper and deeper till he could not move since it was at his belly. He stood there and cried looking at me.

I told him "well YOU went out there, so YOU turn around and come back" He stood there a few mins and then turned around and followed his footsteps back to me and we went in the house.

This is not my video, but it's funny as hell:

Now THAT is a cat that is well-adjusted to snow.
