There was a massive earthquake in New Zealand today. Has anyone heard from Kellye? Is she OK?!?!?!?
I just heard about the earthquake a few mins ago (just got back from school), and im really worried cos i have family members over there where the earthquake would of hit.

I saw the news too and immediately thought of both Kellye and Sam. The news story I saw had the byline of Wellington, with the first sentence saying the 6.3 magnitude earthquake was centered in Christchurch. Definitely put my stomach in knots of worry for them!

I know it took a while with the last quake for Kellye to be able to get online. In the meantime, I'm sending all the I can muster for safety, peace and calming for those we know and love, and everyone in that region.

Thank god we are OK here in Welly. I'm worried about Kellye.

It looks to be really bad there this time. Civil defense says the phone lines are down and they're asking people to limit cell phone usuage as the networks are overloaded. I imagine that internet service would be affected too, so I wouldn't expect Kellye to be able to get in touch right now.
Prayers to everyone in Christchurch. I hope Kellye and her family are OK and we hear from her soon.
I haven't been able to phone my family there, guess I'll just keep trying. Not much you can do in this situation, just hope and pray, which is just so frustrating.

This is why I'm here too, to see about Kellye. The footage on TV is horrifying. Oh, I hope she's okay.

I've sent her a text message, I hope she responds soon

Apparently they have no power, so she won't be able to access the internet, and she's probably saving her phone for emergencies. Hopefully we'll hear something soon though.

I am so glad that you both are ok, you two were the first two things that came to mind when I heard NZ earthquake. My heart is broken for all of the people who were not as lucky.

So glad all are accounted for... and I hope and trust that does include the kitties. It's heartbreaking to see such a beautiful country devastated, and so many people on the streets in shock. I hope New Zealanders know our hearts are with them.

My prayers are with everyone affected by this earthquake.

I am glad to hear our members are ok.

Kellye's aunt just updated that the kitties are both fine too - whew! They still have no power, and the house is badly damaged, so I imagine it will be a while before things settle down again.
