Check out Bugsy's and Gracie's Online Auction!

Some of you know what is going on, some of you don't...
For those who don't, I will try to make a very long story short (NOT my forte ):

Bugsy' problems started on October 10th, 2010, when he had a bad UTI and was given a 7-day course of Clavamox. At the moment he started on Clavamox, he started having Diarrhea and has never gotten better. It has now been over 4 months days. In these three months we had numerous vet visits, tests, specialized blood tests, several different medicine courses and emergency visit. At this time the end is not in sight yet. Bugsy is now on the last attempt with medications before being referred to a specialist. Diagel seems to have worked, but the situation is "iffy". He also now has an issue with his liver, as the medications has affected his ALT levels. He is also off his stomatitis meds, so he will need more aggressive treatment if he can not go back into his treatment in March. He will need a Stomatitis Dental regardless.

Gracie is 12 yrs old and has Hyperthyroid. On Dec. 31, she stopped eating, showing signs of pain in her mouth. She was taken to the dentist immediately where they found out the problem: the tooth was cracked and so diseased that had created a fistula - a hole in between the mouth and the nose. It was also infected. She had a surgery to have the tooth removed, the bone shaved and a small bone implant put in. The hole was left open to drain. She was expected to have a second surgery to close the fistula, but she beat all odds with amazing results from the first surgery and that will no longer be necessary. Gracie also came home severely overmedicated for hyperthyroid, and we are currently working on adjusting her meds - she has blood tests every 3 weeks or so for that.

To make it worst, Lucky got sick on the top of it - thank goodness she is better now.

Anyways, as I said, my forte is NOT making the story short!

If I win the jewelry items I bid on, I'm going to donate them to my shelter which has a jewelry auction each year as one of their main fund raisers. So, I'll get to help out even more kitties (and doggies).

But, please, anyone, feel free to bid against me! I'll (probably) bid higher!

Robin you're a stitch! (And wonderful!)

Thank you, thank you! The most wonderful, Laurie!!!

There are less than 4 hours to go on Bugsy and Gracie's auction. I've been hoping that the total would get to at least $500 (actually I was hoping for twice that, but, now, you hope for what you can), and we're not there yet.

All of us have been there with our cats - they get sick, the vet bills are a shock and a difficulty. But Carolina has had far more than her share to deal with because of Bugsy's ongoing problems, and Gracie's, who she took in her home to save her from certain demise, neglected that she was, and with big health issues to resolve. And on top of that, Hope had a problem recently. My mind reals at the thought of the amount all these vet bills must add up to.

So, please help if you can.

What?!? This is only week one? Now I really have reason to

All I can say as any kind of an excuse is that my life is such a frenzy all the time with everything I have to do, that I am perpetually confused.

Well, I am looking forward to more surprises in week two.

More time for more people to bid. Whew!

There are some really great things there - and many with no bids yet...

This is such a great idea to raise funds for people who need help with vet bills.

Good luck with your auctions! Looks like Week 1 did well!

We're into the last 24 hours!

If you bid early you've likely been outbid, and if this is like any other auction then there will be a flurry of activity in the last bit of time.

So you get neat stuff and it's for a good cause and it's for kitties near and dear to all of us! It's a win win WIN!
