Hi, I have had my cat Willard for about 10 months now, I rescued him on the street in the Bronx, and he has always had this small lump on his nose. He is about 2 years old. All other cats I have owned have had smooth, straight noses, and the vet said this is nothing to worry about, that some cats just have 'roman noses'. It's probably me just being paranoid, because I'm crazy about this cat. Anyway, I don't think it's gotten any bigger at all since I've had him, and when I touch it it just feels hard so I'm thinking it could be scar tissue from where he was possibly cut before I found him. He is a very active cat who runs around the apartment all throughout the day and has tons of energy. Here are some photos showing the lump. Is this something to worry about? Thank you very much in advance.

Looking at the pictures i'd say it is just his facial structure. Like humans cats all have different nose shapes and sizes. I doubt it was caused by an injury but if it was it has long since healed and is nothing to worry about since it is not bothering him.

I don't know what the bump on his nose is, you could show it to your vet next time he's there. He's a beautiful cat

I don't think it's anything to worry about. One of my fosters has a pretty strangely shaped nose too. Most likely he's born with it just like some people are born with "bumps" on their noses. If it's not getting bigger and is not sore or inflamed looking I see no reason to worry. He's a beautiful boy and I think the bump just gives him carachter.

It's normal and nothing to be concerned about. I've had 2 kitties with that little hump.

My cat also started sneezing and got a lump on her nose exactly like this one.  I took her to the vet and they gave me some drops for her nose.  I had to put them up her nose twice a day which she hated but it stopped her sneezing and it went down a little, however, it is still there but I think it's scar tissue.  I was convinced it was going to be something awful or cancer.  The vet basically said they would treat it as if it wasn't cancer first because a biopsy would be so invasive.

What a beautiful cat! Swanie had a little bump on his nose and I think it was starting to get bigger or got infected or something.  It's been a while and my memory of it is fuzzy.  the vet said it was probably nothing but would do a biopsy if we wanted, so we had her do it just for peace of mind.  It is invasive in that they have to use anesthesia, and it left a scar on his nose.  But it was very good to know that it wasn't something serious.

My kittens have the same thing and they were born with it. Although when we found them they had an upper respiratory infection that was treated, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it but I think since your vet says it's fine then it's fine. :)
