There goes the power!

As the power briefly went out this morning I thought great and we are getting a big snow storm today I hope it doesn't go out again.

Neil was outside hauling up some firewood later this morning and he was speaking with a neighbor who had called the power company. He pointed out a black spot on the transformer. And the now deceased squirrel who in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Poor little guy. That's a real problem, in some areas.

When we moved into this house, we almost never saw squirrels. Now we have them around all the time, and the cats love it.

I never usually see the squirrels on the power lines. But I was more worried about the electricity with 11 inches of snow and blizzard conditions forecast. I better put some corn out for them.
