Queen Eva is not camera shy and has allowed me to capture some of her special features

Secret Stripes, plus you can see her White Threads in her Tail

Fringe, she has this sweet fringe of fur underneath and behind

White Crescent Queen Eva has an adorable crescent of white on her abdomen but she is very stingy with it, only ever giving me quick glimpses of it in full, or just pinches of it like here

Baby Face

Long and FlexibleIf you look closely you will notice that her body and head are facing in two different directions

I'm so cute and adorableYou can just see a suggestion of her white crescent in this one too I just noticed, plus this shows off her thumbs well

Awww, she really is wonderful. And it's wonderful how you appreciate her.

I remember once, long ago, that after observing one of our black cats napping in a sunbeam in the living room, going into the kitchen and telling my mother, "There's a strange brown cat in the living room!" She still brings that up (40+ years later) and chuckles.

Black cats, of course, are all dark brown, really, and cats all have those "secret stripes" I believe. It's wonderful to catch a glimpse of them. Sort of like discovering their secret name that they don't tell (per T.S. Eliot).

My Tonya has one of those lovely white patches on her tummy, too, as well as a few white hairs on her chest. Claudio has a white "medal" on his chest, and a large white patch lower down on his underside. And Lily doesn't have a single white hair.

I love Queen Eva!! Holland used to have secret stripes, but I haven't seen them since she was a kitten. But she does also have the tummy fringe!

Beautiful!
I love the Queen, she's too cute. Can I say Two Thumbs Up?

It's really cool how different 'hidden' features show up in different lighting.. Genever's got a striped tail, and kind of brownish patches around her chest and shoulders, which only show up in the sunlight, and I never saw them until recently. Pretty neat.

Queen Eva is simply beautiful. Both my boys have the ghost stripes, and Shadow has a rarely-seen white crescent on his belly as well. I love Queen Eva's thumbs.

Thank you everyone. Gosh I just love that kitten so much. She's 8 months old today and has been with me six months plus one week.
