Anyone Else Remember the TV Show Dallas?

There was a Dallas marathon on one of the cable stations a few months back where they showed about ten episodes. Ever since then I've got the Dallas "fever". I've been getting the Dallas series one season at a time from Amazon when I have the extra money. So far I'm on season 4. I used to watch that show religiously when it was on all those years ago. I had forgotten just how mean J.R. was - especially towards Sue Ellen. I didn't forget how much of a hunk Bobby was though! Watching the show sure has been nostalgic!

I remember Dallas. I never really watched it on a regular basis. It was too much drama for me.

I've heard a rumor that my husband used to unplug the phone whenever Dallas was on so that he wouldn't be disturbed. He denies it vehemently though

I've heard of Dallas but never saw it. My parents said they watched it sometimes.

So many people forget the big mania over the summer of "Who shot JR?"

The Mansion is still a big tourist draw.

And, while the big joke was that the mansion was in one of the few places in Texas where there WASN'T oil, the way things are going in this area, they may be drilling out there in the near future.

I used to watch Dallas every week!!!! It would be really fun to watch a marathon of that show. I loved that show and all the drama!!!!

I was a big Dallas fan and I loved to hate JR. I never missed an episode but was very let down when Bobby showed up in the shower and supposedly that particular season was all a dream and Bobby never died we were all duped.

The best season of course was Who killed Jr. It felt like forever for the next season to start and find out who the shooter was.

I remember after that episode aired everyone was taking bets on who did it. I actually got it right when I said it was Kristen.

I was sooooo mad when I thought Bobby was dead! I was glad to see him come back, although it was also rather bizarre the way they brought him back because that whole season didn't actully occur then. Really weird.. I think they did the show that way because Patrick Duffy wanted to leave the show, then changed his mind and came back...

I also vaguely recall that in one season Pam gets in a horrible accident and ends up disfigured. I think she ends up leaving Bobby because she doesn't want him to see her that way.

I just watched the episode last night where Sue Ellen gets arrested for shooting him - even though she didn't do it. If I recall correctly, her evil sister Kristen planted the gun as evidence so Sue Ellen would get framed. Kristen was even more evil than J.R. I think.

I know what you mean about how it took forever for the next season to arrive so you could find out who did it - and then you still had to wait to find out because it wasn't revealed right away. I find myself getting anxious to get from one episode to the next to see what happens. Now that I've got the "fever", I can't wait to get through ALL the seasons!
