I LOVE Robin Trower!!! I've seen him twice and would go again in a heartbeat. The first time, I think it was 1983, a line formed after the concert for autographs. I didn't have a pen and paper and didn't care. I just grabbed his shoulders and kissed him on his face!

the last time i saw him i took my records and cds with me and he signed them after the show. i also took 2 Michael Schenker cds where MS does coversongs and Davey Pattison does all the vocals along and got Davey to sign those. RT is going to be 66 next month so who knows if it's going to be the last tour.

Love Robin Trower. Let's see.... I saw him in concert ... sometime in the mid-late 70s. Wish I'd been old enough to be going to concerts when he played with Jan Hammer.

Also a big Michael Schenker fan... though I prefer it when he's playing with UFO or the Scorps (and can't stand either without him. We call it "Schenker-less noise").

SO .... HOW WAS IT?

it was better than expected. i went with DH's daughter who is 12 years younger than me. the venue is in the seedy part of town. it was GA but if you ate dinner there you got the best seats. the food's bad so we eat somewhere else and bribe our way in. i knew the concert was going to be good and you hope the other 6 people on your table aren't drunk or jerks. we only had 2 other couples, which is really lucky since at Trower concerts in this area the audience is about 85% male. the lady next to me said her husband goes to concerts like some people go to movies and he's seen everybody at least twice. after the show they shook our hands and said we were the best table buddys ever.
Trower was great as usual. he still closes his eyes and makes those guitar faces. when he opens his eyes he still gets that smile on his face like 'you people really do like my music. i bought his new cd and about 15min after the show he came out as always and did autographs. the ticket via TM was $45, plus $20 for rhe bribe. $65 for 2 hr concert and autograph. considering what some charge for meet & greets this was a pretty good deal.
