I was thinking this might be more of a question for the ladies; but then I guess not necessarily!

My BFF is having her birthday next week. She is my daughter's God-mother and just had a new baby herself. So I was thinking she needs something for a little quick self pampering. Like maybe a good quality lotion and a nice candle. I don't have a fortune to spend; and I'd rather make up a gift set myself if I can get her more product for my money ya know?

So what's your fav lotion? For any guys who read this; do you have a preference in scents or things like that for what your girl wears?

Personally I'm not a fan of scented lotions, because I feel like the majority I've tried are too strong ...
One lotion I haven't found too strong is the Bath and Body works wild honeysuckle scent..It's kinda clean smelling and nice, but on certain days like when it's too hot outside it can be too much for my nose to handle...
If I were you I would go for a bubble bar or a bubble bath from either Lush or Bath and Body works-the stuff at Lush is my favorite. They have so many different scents and neither of them is too strong in my opinion..And they look so cute and creative. Just going there to shop is a treat in itself, because you get to smell all the stuff and it's so relaxing ....

Wait- you think Lush stuff isn't too strongly scented??? When I go to a city with a Lush store and am waking to it, I can smell the store before I see it!
I love that though, I love most Lush things, and I LOVE being in the store. (I also have a Lush package due to arive any day now..
) Unfortunately, my fave body lotion, Smitten, is being discontinued. It's almond-scented, and that one isn't too strong. Yeah, I guess their lotions aren't too strong. But the bath bombs and bubble bars are pretty strong with all the absolute and essential oils though.. I love it!

So... I don't know what to suggest, but good luck with picking out your gifts!!

I love Lush but I can't be in the store, or even around it, for more than 5 minutes before my nose starts to fill up, eyes start watering and I start sneezing. I've found that the products aren't that strongly scented, it's because there are so many of them in such a small place that the smell can be overwhelming.

My favourite cream is by Avene (sp?) and it's called Cicalfate (sp?) or something like that, but it's pretty expensive for a small bit. I also love the Bodycology brand that you can get at drug stores and WalMart, but it is a bit strongly scented. My favourite by them is the Cherry Blossom scent.

At work, the most popular mass lotions are St Ives, Vaseline and Jergen's Naturals. St Ives goes on sale a lot, so do the Vaseline lotions. Out of those three I prefer the Jergen's and some of the St Ives ones, the others tend to feel a bit greasy.

Do you have a farmer's market where you live? You could go there and check out some of the home made stuff. It's usually comparable in price to the mass lotions, but higher quality and I've found it usually isn't too heavily scented. We got Mike's mom a basket with lotion, home made soap bar, bath salts, lip balm and a bath balm for $15 around Christmas time, it was a great deal!

I like the Body Shop shower gels, lotions and body butters. Most of them are subtle and suitable for sensitive skin. I can't really say I have a favorite - right now I've got cranberry, blueberry, coconut and moringa. Usually there are weekly specials, so I stock up.

Our natural food store has an interesting selection of lotions, soaps, and some cosmetics that are very lightly scented. As soon as they get new items back in stock, people buy everything right off the shelves.

No favorite. I like Jergen's, Ponds, Vaseline Intensive. I can't use any of the scented as they make me sneeze. People love to give me stuff from Bath and Body. I can't even exchange for another scent as they all make me sneeze. If I get it for a gift, I pass it on to someone else.

Burts Bees pops in my mind.

I recently ordered some items from a Sheboygan Wisconsin lady who makes up her own stuff. Its olivu426.com. The olive and the avocado whipped lotions are really nice. You can choose you scents or go unscented. The lip balm is good too. There also is also fourelementsherbals.com which I've been buying for years.
