According to my cats!

Can't be a coincidence on round-two. Switched to Dove Men's Deep-Clean bar soap, and second time now since out of the shower these furballs are both super schmoozy and licking and biting me softly w/ they otherwise hardly ever do. I has a flavor?

They aren't hungry, and the only other time I had seen that was when I had bleach smell all over me from some thorough spring cleaning, so guess its the new soap scent since I just got out of the shower 15 mins ago.

Wonder if I should replace my Diesel cologne w/ a catnip or bleach scented one now as well...

Ari seems to prefer it when I wear Eau de Ben-Gay.

Mousy, my 14 year old licks my hands if i use Nivea hand lotion

I use dove soap too and Jake licks my feet every time I get out of the shower. I think it's his way of cleaning me, because I know kitties don't like to smell like anything, it's bad for their hunt because the prey can smell them and run away...
So, I think he's just being a friend and making sure I don't have any obvious smell and the catnip stuffed mice don't run away from me when they smell me coming

Now that you've mentioned.. I use Dove soap (for women though) too, and Luna loooves to lick my feet when I get out of the shower. But then again she likes to do it all the time if I have bare feet.

Hmmm, I wonder if the Dove soap and bleach thing is also just that they don't like me to be so odoriferous then too.

They seem more playful and lovey-dubby than helpful in cleaning though, especially with the bleach which was making them act almost as if they were on catnip.

Anyone else notice the bleach thing too or is that just some cats?

May have to come up with a special cat-attract formula and make a witches brew w/ bleach, dove soap, ben gay, nivea hand lotion, and catnip!

It could be because many soap are made of animal fat and cats do have a keen sense of smell.

Hmm....I use dove but my girls generally don't go in my bedroom or bathroom. The next time they are in there while I'm showering I'll have to see if they do anything! Mooch used to bite my head if my hair was wet. Haven't been sitting down enough for her to do that lately I guess! LOL

Yes, this is actually quite common from what I've heard. Also two of my cats go crazy over bleach. Specially Utu who even has a toilet brush addiction because of this.. If he gets a chance, he will chew it....

I don't think the household cleaner is the same as hair dye, if I'm correct household cleaner is ammonia while the stuff in the hair color is hydrogen peroxide...
But whenever I come back from the hair salon Jake goes crazy on my hair too!!! It's so funny, his nose is stuck to my hair for a good 20 minutes
