Hello hello! It's another day in paradise here in Salt Lake City! (I'm trying to convince myself of that even though it's hell!)

Kitties first! Henrietta is out and doing wonderfully! Peaches doesn't make any aggressive moves or sounds but is very watchful. She sits atop a high place and follows little MIss Henrietta around with her big old amber eyes! Of course, Henrietta is very playful and that seems to irritate Peaches slightly!
But all in all, so far so good. And today I gave Peaches Missy Hissy's blanket before I left. I just put it on the spot she likes to lay in the afternoon.

Missy Hissy is making very slow progress. Today I went in the room and she was laying in the middle of the floor. She didn't growl or hiss at me.
At first. But at least she didn't get up and run away to hide! I lay down on the floor next to her and spoke gently to her. She tolerated all of this well! I slowly moved my hand along the floor, right up to her paw and she sniffed it a little. Then she rolled over on her back like she wanted me to pet her or like she was happy. I wanted to pet her SO bad so I tried to but she started hissying and growling so I backed off. I just spoke softly to her for a couple more minutes and then left. But I think that's pretty good progress, don't you guys?? I need some feedback here! I have pictures now and will scan some when I get home tonight to share with you.

Ok the car.
The scientist I work with let me take his car to Nephi to give the mechanic my keys and get a few things out of my car. I had to get the keys there before they could look at it. It's about an 86 mile drive, one way. Talked to the mechanic and told him the story. He said he will be looking at it this afternoon and give me a call. And Wal Mart's claim's adjusters are supposed to be out to look at the car today also. So far, that's all I know! But at least things are moving somewhat. Even if it seems a snail's pace to me!

Sorry so long! Lots-0-News!

Glad to hear things are looking up for you.

Will your auto insurance pay for a rental while your's is being fixed? Something for you to look into ...

Sounds like Missy is making splendid progress to me! She's been through so much that she's almost reverted to feral cat mode. I don't know if you have or not, but look at the thread Socializing a Feral: The Story of Lucky It is a very long thread, but will give you a ton of ideas for how to relate to Missy Hissy until she comes out of her shell and trusts you. Sounds like she wants to, but she isn't sure just yet.

No, It's extra to add car rental and I don't have it. But if Wal Mart takes responsibility then they will pay for a car rental.
