Miss Moneypenny got FIVE teeth pulled yesterday. They were quite nasty. After sleeping off the anesthesia, she devoured an entire can of food by herself and is already acting like a whole new cat.
I have a sneaking suspicion that her bout with hepatic lipidosis last year may have been brought on from her teeth hurting and that's why she stopped eating. She'd had gingivitis when I adopted her, but kept putting off the cleanings until her teeth just gave up and started rotting on her. :-/
Do you think that could be it? I really hope this is the end of her vet problems for a while.... she is one expensive kitty! I really wish I'd taken care of the cleaning years ago, because if I'm right about the two issues being linked, I could have saved almost $3000 this last year.
So: moral of the story is - take care of their teefs!

. Absolutely, bad teeth can cause many terrible health issues due to the bacteria chronically running through their bodies. Glad you got those teeth pulled, poor baby. But she will be feeling better now!!!!!!
