Spanks Meowmy!

In the last week or so Kismet has decided that his number one preference for "snuggle time" is to have me "spank" him. By that I mean gently pat his bum above his tail - the way you do a little baby... it somehow sooths him?

His tail swishes the whole time and his ears are back - at any OTHER time I would take to mean "STOP THAT!" but if I stop patting his bum? HE BITES ME lol

I tell him NO BITE and I do not resume the patting/spanking until he is a nice boy LOL

He literally jumps up and meows at me then stretches WAY OUT across my legs with his BUTT close to my hand - and MEOWS until I begin the patting.

CRAZY BOY!

and yes - he is fixed...

He even falls asleep with me patting his bum!

Is anyone else's cat a bum pat fiend?!

When Midnight was 3 weeks old to 3 months old, he would get on the bed and put his butt in my face, every chance he got. He was trying to show off how big of a butt he had! I used to think he was perverted! He was very proud of his butt at 1 time.

I do know a neighbor who's cat like their kids "spanking" his butt. Not hitting hard, not hurting him. Little taps with the palms of their hands. He'd walk up to them for it. Never saw another cat like it though, and I never tried that with mine.
