My telephone doesn't work!

For the last 1/2 hour I've been trying to make a call out on my land line and haven't been able to.

Finally I called the telephone company repair using my cell phone and they told me that my land line was working fine. They even phoned me on it.

The poor guy was checking this and that, and finding nothing wrong. Yet, I still couldn't dial out!

Then my cell phone started to beep for low battery, and I told him that I would call back later once the battery had recharged.

As I plugged in my cell phone, something dawned on me!

I was dialing "9" in front of the number I was dialing, like I have to do at work!!!!! My phone works just fine!!!

OMG that's something my mother would do

Don't worry about it, you probably dial using 9 so much during the day, that it's just something you do first

How old are you Natalie. If you are 50 or more, you could blame it on having a Senior Moment.

I've done that. More than once. More than twice. I swear. I even did it at my mom's one time.

I call them brain farts .... I refuse to call them senior moments.

I got to the point where dialing numbers required major thinking. I had 9 to get out of the building at work. The state changed to 10-digit dialing so I had to remember to put a 1 in front of long distance and not do it for a local number. I'm so used to getting the "dee dee dee - the number you have dialed cannot be completed as dialed"

Speed dial is my savior.

Ohmigosh. This is soooooo something I would do. But wasn't it nice to find out there was nothing wrong with your phone?
